As a computer engineering major, you'll design and upgrade advanced digital and computer-based systems by balancing and integrating the use of hardware components and software: a computer's central processor unit, memory devices, input/output devices and computer networks, operating systems, compilers, and general-purpose programming for specific applications.

You'll enjoy an extensive laboratory experience integrated with coursework that ensures a working knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Upper-level courses combine academics with current technology and computational tools, which enables you to become the complete professional ready to contribute to the engineering profession after graduation by either entering the workforce or pursuing a graduate education.

Students in our technical and professional writing program can make complicated material both understandable and usable for real-world audiences.

The Industrial Engineering Technology program prepares students for management and engineering positions in manufacturing and service organizations such as healthcare, banking and finance, transportation, retail, and government. Graduates may be involved in supply chain management, data-driven economic decisions, planning and scheduling of work methods and expected output, quality assurance, optimization of facilities layout and processes.

As an industrial engineering technology major at University of Dayton, you will develop engineering skills through industry-sponsored projects and experiential learning opportunities. With our small class sizes, faculty members with real-world engineering experience, and well-equipped laboratories, we utilize hands-on learning to equip students with applied engineering knowledge and skills that will help you to minimize waste, improve efficiency and make things better. Graduates from our Industrial Engineering Technology program typically go into careers as an industrial engineer, manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, project engineer, continuous improvement engineer and safety engineer.

We view an engineer as a well-rounded person with technical skills and a human-centered mindset. Our faculty and staff mentor our students for successful careers in mechanical engineering that align with personal interests by bringing state-of-the-art research and modern engineering challenges into the classroom. We offer a theatre and dance major that allows for artists to become well-rounded and socially conscious practitioners through experiential learning in all areas. Students can pursue four different concentrations in the major: acting, applied theatre, dance and performance technology, or simply choose theatre studies for a generalist approach.

People have been exploring ideas and expressing their thoughts and feelings by producing art throughout history. By studying art history, you will learn how art embodies and controls cultural, economic, gender, political, religious and social dynamics.

The graduate program in computer science offers a comprehensive approach to the theory and application of computer science. Graduates of the program will have:

• A thorough grounding in the theory of computing science and the ability to apply that knowledge to a variety of problem areas,
• Been exposed to a variety of analytical methods and will demonstrate a basic understanding of those methods, and
• Been exposed to a wide breadth of computer science information by having studied several of the dominant sub-disciplines of computer science.

The program is individualized to meet each student's needs and provides a firm foundation for continuing on to the doctorate or a professional career. The program accommodates both full-time and part-time students.

The LLM program focuses on the American legal system and laws that transcend national boundaries. This program is available for international students who already have a first degree in law from a foreign university upon the completion of 30 credits of course work.
