Political science majors at the University of Mississippi conduct policy analysis and study political actors and organizations within the context of American government and politics, comparative government and politics, and international relations. Economics is the study of the allocation of resources. Using mathematical and statistical models, economists consider how resources such as labor, land, money, and technology are distributed.  Economics majors gain a broad understanding of the field of economics as well as skills in statistics, mathematics, organization, research methodology, and verbal and written communication. The Bachelor of Science in economics is designed for students desiring a more technical and mathematical approach to economics in preparation for a Ph.D. in economics.

The Master of Taxation & Data Analytics program offers specialization in both taxation and data analytics. Students in this program are given many opportunities to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and the latest relevant technologies. The program includes five accountancy and taxation courses, three data analytics courses, one taxation elective, and one accountancy elective.

The Ole Miss Hospitality Management program prepares students to handle a wide array of needs across the hospitality industry. Valuable hands-on experiences enables students to receive the academic foundation and practical experience needed to be successful after graduation.

Students who complete the program in hospitality management choose among many of the job settings in the growing hospitality industry, such as restaurants and food-service operations, hotels and other lodging facilities, event companies, resorts, casinos, entertainment centers, convention centers, travel firms, and visitor bureaus.

The M.S.W. is a professional degree that prepares students to work with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities in clinical settings. Students pursue either a regular track or advanced standing track, depending on their education.

Emphasis - MSW Regular Track
The regular track M.S.W. program is designed for students who do not enter the program with a B.S.W. degree from a CSWE-accredited program within the past five years.

The M.S. in sport and recreation administration provides advanced education and vocational opportunities to develop leisure service delivery skills and evaluation or research competencies for students committed to careers in leisure, sport, recreation, health, tourism, and/or research.

The B.A. in theatre arts is a comprehensive, flexible degree that allows students to study various aspects of theatre such as performance ( acting, musical theatre, dance), theatrical production (stage management, directing), design (scenic, costumes, lighting, sound), film production, dramaturgy, theatre history, and dramatic literature. The B.A. degree is designed for students who want to teach, to pursue graduate education, to work in the entertainment industry, or to complement a double major or dual degree program.
