Cybersecurity - Concentration
The Cybersecurity concentration trains you to understand the vulnerabilities and exploits in information systems available to cyber attackers. You will learn how to identify organizational vulnerabilities, understand threats, analyze risks, and select controls to mitigate risks. You will also learn how to implement security in organizations, respond when incidents occur, and design systems to prevent cyber-attacks.

UAlbany was the first university to offer an Africana Studies graduate degree and remains one of the few institutions in the nation with an MA program in the field. Designed for students with no prior background in accounting or business, this cohort-based program includes four semesters of full-time study that fulfill the education criteria required to obtain initial licensure as a certified public accountant in New York State. (A part-time option is also available for this program. Full-time requires availability days and evenings, Monday-Friday).

Coursework covers management fundamentals, in-depth study of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and practical training in contemporary accounting software and emerging technologies.
