Public Law
Public law at the University at Albany has a national reputation for the quality of its program. You will study with faculty in areas related to law, legal actors, and legal systems. Learn about  national and subnational legal processes, the relationship between law and state development, the relationship of law and the legal system to public policy, interest groups, the media, and the political system in general. You will also have opportunities to examine doctrinal issues in constitutional and public law, as well as the relationship of private law to public policy in the United States and around the world.

The interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Management at UAlbany will give you a broad understanding of the relationships between government legislation, public policy, economics, politics, civil rights, regulation and finance, and city, state, federal, and global affairs.

Law and Civil Rights
Law and policy go hand in hand. This concentration prepares future lawyers and policy makers. By pursuing studies in this area, you will learn how policy impacts civil rights and how civil rights movements influence laws and public policy.

In addition, you will study comparative context to understand why human beings have the particular set of biological features that we do. The Master of Public Health (MPH) provides you with a strong foundation in primary public health fields and advanced knowledge in your area of interest. Concentration options include biomedical sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and social behavior and community health.

Health Policy and Management
