Theatre Performance
The Theatre Performance major is ideal for students wanting to pursue professional careers in acting and directing. The curriculum provides holistic training in all aspects of theatre arts with an added primary focus on performance. Courses will provide a comprehensive experience of the collaborative work and artistry required to create a theatrical production. Available courses include:

Baylor's Aviation Sciences program propels you into an aviation career, whether in the skies or on the ground. The degree provides a balance of aeronautical theory and application combined with technical education. Available courses include:

• Private Pilot Flight
• Advanced Aviation Meteorology
• Aircraft Systems
• Aviation Law
• Aerodynamics

The Aviation Sciences major (Professional Pilot Concentration) is specifically designed for students wanting a career as a pilot (Airplane or Helicopter). Be aware that there are a limited number of flight slots for pilot students and so admission to the Professional Pilot Concentration is limited and competitive.

Spanish
The Spanish language, a romance language, is now the second most prevalent language spoken globally. The Communication major is a broad study of the process of human communication. Students will learn the importance of communication context in culture, professional fields and social movements. Coursework also includes study of the influence of communication on behavior and in turn, its influence on society. There are four tracks that students may choose from in the Communication major:

Accounting
The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. Nutrition Sciences is the study of food its components, and how the body handles food substances. In the Nutrition Sciences major, you will explore how nutrients, and the foods from which they are derived, aid the body in growth and development and maintain health and wellness. Great Texts of the Western Tradition
The Great Texts major is one of two undergraduate majors within the Baylor University Honors College, but it is not required that you be part of Honors to major in Great Texts. The coursework includes the study of influential written works from a variety of cultures throughout the ages. Available courses include:

• Confessions and Autobiography
• Theological Interpretation of Scripture
• Great Texts of the 20th Century
• Masterworks in Drama

The Great Texts program offers an integrated humanities education that crosses the customary academic divisions between what we know, what we love and how we live together. These studies are intensely practical because questions in real life often concern the connections between knowledge, ethical discernment and imaginative enjoyment.  Many graduates pursue graduate, law and medical school. Graduates can also expect to find career opportunities in international business or at academic institutions.

The department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in computer science. One of the strengths of the computer science program is the balance between theory and practice. Students are well versed in theory and programming while at the same time being exposed to real world situations thereby gaining valuable experience. Available courses include:

Students graduating with a BSCS in Computer Science are schooled in upper-level computer science topics with a solid foundation in mathematics and the sciences. Within the BSCS degree, students select a general computer science or software engineering track. The software engineering track emphasizes the methods used to produce and maintain high-quality software in a systematic, controlled and efficient manner. Students who are acquiring their BA in computer science acquire a traditional liberal arts education with a solid set of core computer science courses.

Education - Elementary Education
The Elementary Education program is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference through teaching young children and want to become change agents in education. The program prepares highly qualified teachers for work in diverse school settings in Early Childhood through Grade Six. Graduates of the Elementary program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) and prepare for the Elementary Generalist certification. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language or Gifted and Talented Education or Special Education.
