Music
The music major is for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and not afraid to challenge musical conventions. The major is in the liberal arts tradition.  It is a good fit for students who want a music degree, but also want to take extra courses outside their major course of study. Students develop their skills through theory and practice.  Areas of study include:

All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into a music degree program. Students may pursue either a BM or BA in Church Music.
The Church Music major in the Bachelor of Music (BM) program at Baylor allows students to concentrate on one of three different emphases depending on their primary instrument: keyboard, instrumental or voice. The Bachelor of Arts program is designed in the liberal arts tradition and is a good fit for students who want a church music degree and who want to take additional courses outside of their major course of study.

Spanish
The Spanish language, a romance language, is now the second most prevalent language spoken globally. The Philosophy major provides a solid foundation in the history of philosophy.  It also provides an in-depth study of specific subject areas including logic, ethics, aesthetics, epistemology, and metaphysics. This dual emphasis cultivates students' capacity for critical analysis, stimulates independent thinking and promotes sound reasoning based on knowledge, moral discrimination and religious insight. The Philosophy Department offers a Pre-Law track as well as a Medical Concentration. Studying philosophy provides excellent preparation for the problem solving, critical thinking and analytical writing essential for the law and medical professions. Philosophy is also offered as a minor for students wishing to enhance another academic major.

The Supply Chain Management major (designated as a pre-major) prepares students to manage activities involved in the creation of goods and services. Students develop the ability to apply problem-solving tools related to productivity improvement, quality control, production scheduling, and materials management.  They are also able to present an integrated top-management view of the entire operations function. Courses help students prepare for professional certifications in Supply Management (CPSM) and Project Management (PMP).  Available courses include:

Choral Music
The Choral Music major in the Bachelor of Music Education degree program is designed for students interested in teaching choral music or elementary general music in public schools. This degree leads to Texas teacher certification. Areas of study include:

Exercise physiology is an applied science studying the body’s metabolic responses to acute and chronic physical activity. The program offers students a professional field experience and general division electives in the areas of strength and conditioning, nutrition, pre-PT, pre-Medical, business, and clinicals. Exercise Physiology prepares students for a number of career opportunities related to the wellness consciousness of the general population. Available courses include:

• Research Methods and Design in Exercise Science
• Exercise and Sports Nutrition
• Sports Psychology
• Sociology of Sport
• Biomechanics

Students must complete one semester of a supervised internship. Students are assigned to a variety of positions including sports practices, games and surgeries. Positions also include general medical rotation and an off-campus rotation at a high school or sports medicine clinic. These assignments give the students an opportunity apply learned techniques in the field.

Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Electrical and Computer Engineering major (designated as a pre-major) is a nationally-recognized program designed for students interested in math and science and the advancement of technology.
