As part of the Grace School of Applied Diplomacy at DePaul, our Master of Applied Diplomacy program unites traditional and non-traditional approaches to the field of diplomacy. Here, we know that the work of diplomacy is not limited to members of the foreign service, but practiced by members of non-governmental organizations, business people, scientists, and community organizers.

Critical Approaches
The MA in Applied Diplomacy is dedicated to preparing students to enter this dynamic world of diplomacy. Our core courses offer all students a shared understanding of diplomatic studies, global relations, international political economy and sustainable international development, a firm foundation that complements each of our six diverse concentrations.

The Critical Approaches to Diplomacy concentration provides a foundation for those interested in interrogating the power and practices associated with the field of diplomacy. The concentration provides preparation for a variety of careers, as well as advanced studies in the field. Students selecting this concentration will study critical social theory, culture and identity, and the impact of post-colonial studies on the practice and study of diplomacy.

The data science master’s will provide you with the technical knowledge and advanced computational skills to meet emerging challenges in big data analytics. With on-campus and online classroom learning formats, you can launch a career in data science with extraordinary faculty members—anytime, anywhere. Our online learning program replicates the classroom experience with 100 percent access to software, faculty advisors, career services, and a large network of alumni. Computational Methods
All required courses are available online. The Computational Methods concentration is designed for data science master’s students who want to develop strong technical and programming skills for big data analytics. You’ll be trained to handle and aggregate massive amounts of data and to use appropriate modeling and data mining techniques to extract information from complex data sources.

For supply chain industry professionals who are seeking management roles, DePaul’s Supply Chain Management master’s degree will provide you with the necessary leadership and technical skills.

As a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor Science (BS) in Biological Sciences major, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in a wide range of careers in science, research, education, health and other fields.

Inside and outside the classroom, you’ll learn to think independently and work collaboratively. Here, most faculty members direct their own research programs, giving you an opportunity to work on multiple research projects. Biological Sciences majors are encouraged to attend seminars and complete internships.

The Marketing concentration is designed for data science master’s students who want to combine strong technical skills in analytics with competency in marketing analytics and customer relationship management. The Master of Science in Real Estate equips you with the skills necessary to help you launch your career in real estate investment analysis and finance. Whether you’re a career changer or you already work in the industry and want to deepen your skills, the MS in Real Estate gives you a strong foundation for real estate industry leadership by immersing you in real-world projects with real Chicago companies.

The MBA concentration in Marketing Strategy and Planning trains future upper-level managers to master the art of business development and marketing. This concentration puts you on a career track toward positions like chief marketing officer, creative director, senior brand manager and senior product manager.

The Master of Social Work (MSW) program will prepare you for advanced social work, with attention to professional ethics, respect for human rights and recognition of the inherent dignity of all people. The curriculum is grounded equally in theory and practical application. Choose from one of two concentrations:

• The Community Practice concentration prepares you to lead human service organizations.
• The Forensic Social Work concentration prepares you for practice and advocacy in settings where human services and the legal system intersect.

You’ll be grouped in a small cohort, which enables you to get to know your colleagues and receive individualized attention from your professors.
