In the Exercise Science (EXS) degree program you will learn the scientific principles that relate to human movement. Upon completion of your Exercise Science degree you will be qualified to pursue careers in a variety of areas in the health sciences, as well as apply for graduate programs related to the fitness and exercise sciences.

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) is the professional organization that establishes guidelines and competencies for the field of exercise science and serves as the guide for the EXS degree program’s academic quality.

DePaul’s MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing will prepare and empower you to write a novel or memoir, or a collection of poetry or stories while at DePaul. You’ll work across genres under the mentorship of distinguished authors and poets. With courses in Copyediting, Book Publicity, Book Design, Teaching Creative Writing, and Teaching English you’ll have the choice of a career in publishing or teaching. The Creative Writing and Publishing MFA culminates with a required master’s thesis of publishable quality.

Our nationally ranked Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) will prepare you to be a proficient, industry-ready accountant. If you’re looking to sit for the CPA exam or transition into professional accounting, but don’t have an undergraduate accountancy degree, this program is for you. With a master’s in Accountancy from DePaul, you’ll gain a solid understanding of a variety of business disciplines and their relationships to accounting issues.

As part of the Grace School of Applied Diplomacy at DePaul, our Master of Applied Diplomacy program unites traditional and non-traditional approaches to the field of diplomacy. Here, we know that the work of diplomacy is not limited to members of the foreign service, but practiced by members of non-governmental organizations, business people, scientists, and community organizers.

Diplomacy and Migration
The Diplomacy and Migration concentration provides students with a foundation for applying the tools and understanding of diplomatic practices--such as mediation, conflict resolution, advocacy and leadership—to the pressing challenges posed by forced migration. Students will have the opportunity to place the study and practice of diplomacy into conversation with the disciplines of history, forced migration studies, human rights law, public health, and international relations.

The master's in Product Innovation and Computing is offered by the College of Computing and Digital Media with some course work taken from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (KGSB). This STEM degree incorporates the innovation and entrepreneurship processes with computer science, and allows students in the program to recognize broader issues in technology-related problems and understand the business constraints affecting this technology.

Through our Healthcare Markets and Analytics MBA concentration, you’ll become prepared to analyze and use health data to make managerial decisions.

Our MBA in healthcare management program teaches you to use decision-making algorithms that apply data to economic models. Your courses will focus on economics within the health care sector — an industry that accounts for more than one-fifth of the U.S. economy.

In this program, you’ll learn

• How the health care sector is similar to, and different from, the rest of the economy.
• How the behavior of the health care sector adheres to and deviates from key economic principles.
• The crucial and ever-increasing role of data in guiding the decision-making process of policymakers in the health care industry.

The Secondary Education program prepares you to teach 9th through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private high schools. You can graduate with a State of Illinois license to teach designated subject-area content (listed below). The program also provides you an opportunity to receive a Diploma Year Program Award (IB certification) to teach in International Baccalaureate schools world-wide.

As part of the secondary education major, you’ll learn educational theories and effective teaching practices, including how to design and implement curriculum; participate in extensive field experiences at multiple schools, and student-teach for 10 weeks.

Our Hospitality Leadership program will prepare you for a management career in a variety of hospitality industry segments, including hotels, restaurants, private clubs, meetings and events. Hospitality majors here benefit from a program that balances hospitality leadership courses with core business curriculum.

As a hospitality major, you’ll have access to the school’s J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Center for Student Development and Engagement. This center connects you with industry leaders, school alumni and students, and offers you highly-specialized career preparation and leadership development. The center is also available as a resource to help you successfully complete two internships, which are a requirement of the Hospitality Leadership program.

The Master of Science in Film and Television emphasizes technical and creative proficiency in the areas of cinematography, editing, and sound for the screen. This intensive program is designed for students looking to acquire and further professional career skills in film and television. The degree is well-suited for career-changers as well as experienced professionals who want to add new technologies and creative workflows to their expertise.

The Master of Science in Game Programming is designed for those interested in game development programming at the highest level, including real time computing, computer graphics, and professional retooling for the game industry. Students will learn about software engineering, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, animation, software architecture, and networking. The game programming degree addresses the real-world needs of industry through special, topic-based classes. Courses are taught with a mixture of theory and applied practice. Covering both emerging trends and proven knowledge, the program's content is always relevant and current. This combination of approaches allows students to understand the connection between realized applied systems and issues they'll likely face professionally in years to come.
