Become skilled in one of the most valuable cultural and economic fields in the U.S. — the production and distribution of motion pictures and television. By studying film production at Lipscomb, you’ll learn the art of storytelling and how to express your original ideas on screen, in an environment that emphasizes collaboration, compassion and care for individuals and communities around the world. You’ll plan, crew and shoot projects, sharpen your screenwriting skills and learn the business, both its history and specific application. Forensic Science Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
You'll be well connected to alumni in the field of forensic sciences. What we teach will qualify you to work in a crime laboratory, or get a job in drug testing. You'll be in an ideal situation in Nashville; one of the scientific employers here is a national industry leader in drug analysis. And with the opportunity to take electives in political science, psychology or Law, Justice and Society, this emphasis provides a well-rounded education.

Green Chemistry Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Our green chemistry emphasis is one of the few curricula in the U.S. at the undergraduate level. With it you’ll find new, safer, and more efficient ways to perform chemical reactions.

Business Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Gain expertise in accounting, economics and finance with an emphasis in business. You’ll have the chance to learn from experienced faculty who understand what skills you need to succeed. 

We've been doing experiential learning in the sciences since before it was cool. And with guidance from our expert faculty, you'll take advantage of rich opportunities to investigate the basis for life. We will help you prepare for a career in the life sciences: think clinical or biomedical research, or other graduate programs in the allied health professions. You'll face challenges in this program as you learn the cellular mechanisms underlying human physiology, genetics and disease.  You won't be alone. Our award-winning teachers - world-respected biomedical research scientists -  will mentor you along the way.

It is pivotal that children be equipped with an early, sound foundation when it comes to health and wellness. Developing healthy patterns at a young age will lead to a more productive future. Let us further develop your passion for education and health so you can be a catalyst for the younger generation’s future success.

The Health and Physical Education teaching degree prepares students to deliver quality health education and physical education to young people in grades K-12. The courses were all designed to follow best practices for preparing excellent teachers who are passionate about the health and fitness of our youth.

Now more than ever, there is a need for professionals who are just, wherever they may be.  We know you want to change the world. So we've created a program to help you build a foundation in justice so you can do exactly that. We know legal change is one of the best ways to effect social change, so we'll make sure you gain a strong understanding of America's legal system. Work with a prominent civil rights attorney in Tuskegee, Alabama. You'll visit Washington, D.C. for an introduction of American law. Learn from real-life experiences with an internship. Take a semester abroad. And later, you'll even travel to five European countries as you learn about law in the global community.

Sure, two plus two is four. But if you’re here, you’re probably interested in exploring what’s beyond math’s basics. And your options are endless: statistics, calculus, geometry, abstract algebra, topology, differential equations and many more! Dig deeper into the incredible body of knowledge that constitutes mathematics by earning your degree in the field.

Work alongside peers who will challenge and support your intellect and welcome your enthusiasm. A faith-based perspective applied to the discipline will help you see the field in a new light.

Plus, the problem-solving skills you finesse will apply far beyond just equations. A mathematics major will fully equip you for employment in the industry or for enrolling in a graduate program in mathematics.

Applied
The more mathematics an engineering, science, computer science or business student takes, the more jobs openings and graduate school openings are available to that student. The applied mathematics degree is an especially good choice for a double major for students who are already required to have a minor in mathematics, such as engineering and computer science majors. It also qualifies business students to work as an actuary.
