The Pre-Master's Program is a 1-semester program, designed to help international students fully prepare for entry to a graduate degree program. During your studies you will work alongside experienced faculty to discover your potential in your field.

Criminal Justice
This program has two main objectives: to provide an advanced understanding of the criminal justice system and its components and to provide either a concentration of knowledge and application of skills in a specialized subfield of study or a broad exploration of the discipline-based on individual student needs through the selection of disciplinary electives.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will demonstrate an understanding of the operation and purposes of the major components of the criminal justice system (police, courts, and corrections). You’ll also demonstrate the ability to critically analyze the criminal justice system and its aims and objectives. Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineers develop electrical systems using knowledge of physics, mathematics, circuit design, electromagnetic theory, communication theory, control systems and signal processing. What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data along with designing a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. You’ll also identify, formulate, solve engineering problems, and understand professional and ethical responsibility with an ability to communicate effectively. As part of this degree, you’ll be able to analyze and design complex electrical and electronic devices, software and systems containing hardware and software components.

Grounded in our academic tradition as a Hispanic Serving Institution, the undergraduate English Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites students to engage with texts and employ language-related skills to connect with others both locally and globally.

We encourage students to explore and integrate three disciplines of English studies in their work, through the study of literature, applied linguistics, and writing. We challenge students to analyze, think critically about, and compose texts across genres, language varieties, and traditions for communities across cultural and geographic boundaries. The mission of the Mathematics Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is to increase the knowledge and use of mathematics by persons both at the University and in the surrounding area. We strive to educate students at the university so that they are prepared to use mathematics intelligently in their chosen fields of study and to understand mathematics as it affects their lives and participation in public affairs.

The mathematics program provides its majors and graduate students with preparation for careers in education, science, and commerce, as well as providing a solid foundation for further study in mathematics. In support of the graduate program, the mathematics faculty pursues scholarship in mathematics, applications of mathematics, and instruction in mathematics. Finally, the mathematics program serves the community by providing its expertise to local schools, industry, and businesses.

The mission of the Graduate Mathematics program is to increase understanding and the ability to apply mathematics and statistics through in-depth study, novel applications, and research. The areas of emphasis are mathematics education and applications of mathematics and statistics. The faculty engages in research and scholarly activities at the forefront of their specialties, with established and developing connections with the mathematics, statistics and education communities at large, and leads students through program research activities and projects or theses.

The Mathematics program prepares students for careers in education, science and industry, and serves the community by providing expertise to local schools, coastal industries and research centers. Students pursuing this degree will choose between the Applied & Computational Mathematics and the Curriculum Content option. The Applied and Computational Mathematics option will especially benefit individuals employed in scientific or technical fields seeking advancement or additional training to enhance their knowledge and skills, or those preparing for a career in higher education instruction or building a foundation for doctoral studies in a mathematical field. The Curriculum Content option specifically addresses the needs of secondary teachers wishing to enhance their skills in learning, teaching and understanding mathematics.
