The kinesiology major prepares you for a professional career in health science-related fields, including athletic training, exercise science, physical education, sports management, sports coaching, or strength/conditioning.

The kinesiology curriculum offers a state-of-the-art athletic and health science facility, award-winning faculty, and 15 NCAA Division I athletic teams help provide one of the top kinesiology learning experiences in the nation.

Mechanical Engineering Technology
The Engineering Technology Council of the American Society for Engineering Education defines Engineering Technology as the profession in which knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences gained by higher education, experience, and practices is devoted primarily to the implementation and extension of existing technology for the benefit of humanity. Engineering technology focuses on the applied aspects of science and engineering to prepare graduates for practice in product improvement, manufacturing, and engineering operational functions. Engineering technologists are suited for industries that deal with application, manufacturing, implementation, engineering operation, sales, and production.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of engineering technology. You’ll also be able to solve problems using technical and hands-on skills and apply their knowledge in the design, manufacture, sales, installation, operation and/or maintenance of complex, high-value systems.

Biomedical Sciences
The Biomedical Sciences Program offers a degree that prepares students for professional careers related to human or animal health and safety. This program is a unique blend of course work and experiences that gives students a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences.

The accounting major is designed to provide entry-level knowledge, skills, and concepts for careers in accounting.

Accounting careers are generally divided into four broad areas, corresponding to particular employment environments: management accounting, government accounting, accounting education, and public accounting.

The MA in English program offers students an innovative curriculum, a dynamic faculty, and many opportunities for professional development. Art
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is designed to provide professional development at the undergraduate level in the visual arts, through in-depth study in studio art. The degree requires a minimum of 75 semester hours in art, at least 36 of which must be in upper-division coursework.

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of visual art. You’ll also be preparing for specific careers along with theories and concepts, and will apply these theories and concepts in the senior exhibition.

This is a dynamic department with students studying human relationships, analyzing film and television, creating films, practicing public relations, writing for the student newspaper, and instructing others in communication.

Within this program, you’ll be able to gather, evaluate and synthesize information to build and defend arguments. You’ll also demonstrate communication competence in dyadic, small group and presentational contexts. As part of this degree, you’ll employ discipline-specific knowledge in applied communication situations.

Criminal Justice
This program has two main objectives: to provide an advanced understanding of the criminal justice system and its components and to provide either a concentration of knowledge and application of skills in a specialized subfield of study or a broad exploration of the discipline-based on individual student needs through the selection of disciplinary electives.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will demonstrate an understanding of the operation and purposes of the major components of the criminal justice system (police, courts, and corrections). You’ll also demonstrate the ability to critically analyze the criminal justice system and its aims and objectives. Physics
The Joint B.S. Physics degree is a Bachelor of Science degree with a Physics major, provided through the joint efforts of physics faculty both here at TAMUCC and at other schools in the Texas Physics Consortium (TPC).

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of physics. You’ll be able to understand scientific methods and be able use them to develop and conduct studies of physical systems. You will also be able to communicate physical information effectively at the undergraduate level, whether the communication is in oral or written form, with or without the use of technology.
