The University of Findlay offers courses that will introduce you to criminal conduct described as violations of trust both domestically and around the world. Our courses are designed to prepare you for successful careers in many areas of criminal justice such as law enforcement, courts, corrections, risk assessment or juvenile justice.
Criminal justice majors benefit from an interdisciplinary curriculum that blends both academics and experience to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The Human Resource (HR) Management Emphasis at the University of Findlay provides students with the skills and experience needed to become successful in a variety of industries. You will learn how to design and implement effective HR management systems that handle employee selection, promotions, compensation, and benefits throughout the operation of any enterprise. HR management students learn additional aspects that are crucial to being effective in the human resources field such as the "stakeholder concept" which enables you to make informed decisions that are moral and ethical and relate to the corporate atmosphere.

Join the corporate world with a business emphasis

An emphasis in business prepares students for careers in the corporate or small business environment. Graduates will be able to design new systems to meet the needs of the client and integrate new computer technologies as appropriate, to increase the power of existing computer systems.  This is vital to the success of any organization.

To complete a Computer Science degree with a Business Emphasis you must complete seven business emphasis courses in addition to the computer science core courses.

Medical laboratory scientists perform laboratory tests used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. These tests range from simple blood tests to more complex analyses such as those needed to uncover diseases such as AIDS, diabetes or cancer. Medical laboratory scientists can also specialize in areas such as chemistry, hematology, blood banking, immunology and microbiology. They are responsible for the accuracy of test results and the reporting of results to the pathologist or other doctors.

The University of Findlay's MLS program will prepare you to enter an accredited clinical education training program. The program includes courses that are required for certification as well as the general education requirements needed for a bachelor of science degree.

The Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing (MARW) Program is a two-year (36 credit hour) face-to-face program that can be completed sooner if you choose to enroll in summer classes. Our program offers students the flexibility to take classes full or part-time and applications to our program are accepted year-round. So, you can enroll and begin taking classes in the fall, spring, or summer.

The courses that you will take to complete 36 hours include eight core classes, two elective classes, and two thesis capstone classes that culminate in the successful defense of either a traditional print or a webtext thesis project.

The program is more affordable than most state-schools at $535 per credit hour. The total cost of tuition for MARW program is $19,260. Graduate assistantship funding is available for teaching, research, and administrative duties and all MARW students who applied for positions received them.

All MARW students applying before May 1 each year are eligible for assistantship funding to teach College Writing I or II, Introduction to Technical Writing, Introduction to Speech, or Introduction to Digital Media. MARW students can also apply to tutor students in the Graduate Writing Center.

All of our MARW teaching and tutoring assistants are fully trained at a summer teaching orientation as well as weekly meetings with faculty mentors.

Religious studies is most commonly known for preparing individuals for pastoral ministry. However, pursuing a degree in religious studies also prepares graduates for a wide range of fields and provides them with a skill set that is desirable to many employers.

Individualized Studies Emphasis
Choose your path.  Decide on 24 semester hours in religious studies and/or philosophy.  Some English courses and permission of the instructor are required.

It's more important now than ever to be able to communicate quickly and effectively on multiple media platforms. As a journalism/digital media major, you will gain a well-rounded skill set that will allow you to work in a variety of settings.

The journalism/digital media program at the University of Findlay is designed to prepare students to become successful reporters, writers, content developers, storytellers and overall strong communicators.
