The University of Findlay's Master of Science in Health Informatics Program prepares students to take on emerging healthcare roles and to be successful in a fast-growing field. Our program is offered in two formats, which provides our students with the flexibility to fit classes into their busy schedules. The program is offered 100 percent online or in a hybrid format, which is a combination of both online and on-campus courses.

Students can complete the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program in just two years. They also have the option to complete six courses to earn the Certificate in Health Informatics, which can be applied towards the master's degree later.

The Business Analytics Emphasis provides students with the skills to collect, analyze, understand, and interpret data. It exposes students to a variety of information systems and data through a series of business analytics courses. Our curriculum is designed to support a seamless transition from student to business professional.

University of Findlay's Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences provides advanced training for nuclear medicine technologists seeking to become multi-modality technologists, radiology directors, administrators, researchers, and educators.

The Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences Program was designed as a way for nuclear medicine technologists to elevate their training and certifications in just two years.

The program features further training in the fields of:

• Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
• Computed Tomography (CT)  
• Magnetic Resonance (MR)

Findlay's children's book illustration major provides a curriculum focused on skills specific to the field of illustration such as drawing, painting, printmaking, design and typography while also integrating coursework in children's literature.  Students work closely with art faculty and the Mazza Museum staff to gain knowledge of the publishing industry and develop their skills in sequential storytelling.

Program Highlights

• Students in the children's book illustration major enjoy access to the Mazza Museum, the most diverse collection of original artwork by children's book illustrators in the world. Students attend annual Mazza conferences, interact with nationally recognized award-winning illustrators, complete internships with the museum, and volunteer with monthly educational events.
• The Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery provides opportunities for art management students to participate in the organization, preparation, and installation of shows. The Lea Gallery presents eight to ten exhibitions throughout the year, including works by students, faculty, and regional and national artists.  Students engage with exhibiting artists through gallery talks, classroom demonstrations, and public presentations.
• Children's book illustration majors have the opportunity to visit nationally-recognized museums and galleries through study trips abroad, annual art program trips to New York City and Chicago, and class trips to museums such as the Toledo Museum of Art and the Detroit Institute of Art.

An emphasis in business prepares students for careers in the corporate or small business environment. Graduates will be able to design new systems to meet the needs of the client and integrate new computer technologies as appropriate, to increase the power of existing computer systems.  This is vital to the success of any organization.

To complete a Computer Science degree with a Business Emphasis you must complete seven business emphasis courses in addition to the computer science core courses.

A major in wellness and health promotion consists of an interdisciplinary program of study in which students will implement health assessments and wellness programs during internships. The degree endeavors to promote scholarly inquiry and cultivate professionals capable of assisting others in developing self-responsibility for their own health and wellness through healthy, active lifestyles. If you’re interested in sitting for the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) exam, you may take it as an upperclassman upon recommendation of your adviser or upon graduation.
