As a student in the University of Findlay's Theatre Program, you will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre. We also have two emphasis options for you to pick from.

There is a need to not only understand new cultures but effectively conduct business for the benefit of everyone. This has led to many new career opportunities locally as well as internationally.

International business is a great area to distinguish yourself in the corporate world. In the global marketplace, it is necessary to understand multi-cultural differences. Being successful within one’s own country is great, but internationally you experience a whole new world of challenges. Customs and business etiquette are vastly different and a simple misunderstanding could mean the end of a business relationship.

Medical laboratory scientists perform laboratory tests used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. These tests range from simple blood tests to more complex analyses such as those needed to uncover diseases such as AIDS, diabetes or cancer. Medical laboratory scientists can also specialize in areas such as chemistry, hematology, blood banking, immunology and microbiology. They are responsible for the accuracy of test results and the reporting of results to the pathologist or other doctors.

The University of Findlay's MLS program will prepare you to enter an accredited clinical education training program. The program includes courses that are required for certification as well as the general education requirements needed for a bachelor of science degree.

The political science major at the University of Findlay will expose you to the many areas of study within the political science realm. This major offers you an opportunity to immerse yourself in the major subfields of the discipline.

Political science graduates follow a variety of career paths. For some, our political science major is a stepping stone for law or graduate school. Majoring in political science sets the stage for careers in areas such as:

The major objective of the program is to provide you with exposure to the many areas of study within the political science realm so that you are prepared to make knowledgeable decisions regarding future career and academic choices. You may also choose to minor in either political science or public administration.

Our program has an interdisciplinary curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in many diverse areas of political science including business, law, risk management, real estate and civil rights. Many students also choose to develop an individualized program by double-majoring with a complimenting area of study such as business, criminal justice and pre-law. Political science is also offered as a minor.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at University of Findlay prepares tomorrow’s business leaders through a comprehensive curriculum focused on personal and professional development. Students gain a global perspective for smart business leadership in today’s increasingly diverse marketplace. Students will also grow their leadership skills to positively impact their life as well as the lives of whom they manage.

The Master of Occupational Therapy Weekend Program is a three-year program that consists of two and a half years of coursework and six months of full-time fieldwork. A new cohort begins each summer in June. The weekend program is intended for the adult learner who has completed a bachelor's degree. It is preferred, but not necessary, that a candidate has healthcare experience.

Accounting is essential to all public, private and governmental entities. It is practiced in every organization and enterprise in the world, and accountants play a key role. Students who choose to study accounting at the University of Findlay graduate with more than just a basic understanding of accounting - they understand the business as a whole. They earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, which provides them with the foundational skills and in-depth knowledge required to be successful in the world of business.

• Courses that exceed Ohio Certified Public Accountant (CPA) academic requirements - If interested in obtaining the CPA license, you can join the CPA track program, which combines an undergraduate degree specializing in accounting with an MBA (4+1) program. If you’re interested in sitting for the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) exam, you may take it as an upperclassman upon recommendation of your adviser or upon graduation.
• Mentorship program with community partners - Mentoring and shadowing provide real-world knowledge and networking opportunities. Accounting freshmen and sophomores are paired with juniors and seniors, while juniors and seniors have a professional in the field as a mentor for career advice and guidance.

Findlay's art management major offers a combination of studio and art history experiences along with coursework in business administration, accounting, economics and marketing. This major prepares you for administrative positions related to galleries, museums, art centers, and community art organizations.

Program Highlights

• Students in the art management major enjoy access to the Mazza Museum, the most diverse collection of original artwork by children's book illustrators in the world. Students attend annual Mazza conferences, interact with nationally recognized award-winning illustrators, complete internships with the museum, and volunteer with monthly educational events.
• The Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery provides opportunities for art management students to participate in the organization, preparation, and installation of shows. The Lea Gallery presents eight to ten exhibitions throughout the year, including works by students, faculty, and regional and national artists. Students engage with exhibiting artists through gallery talks, classroom demonstrations, and public presentations.
• Art management majors have the opportunity to visit nationally-recognized museums and galleries through study trips abroad, annual art program trips to New York City and Chicago, and class trips to museums such as the Toledo Museum of Art and the Detroit Institute of Art.

At the University of Findlay, students learn a broad range of skills that pertain to business capabilities and operations. Operations and logistics students learn how to plan, design, implement, manage and support activities for virtually any industry.

• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - Offered as part of a master's class (MBA 685), Six Sigma Green Belt Certification teaches a statistical approach to business problem solving, which can be used to solve problems like inefficiency in the manufacturing industry.
• Qualified to work in a variety of areas - As a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Operations and Logistics Emphasis, you will have many employment options in front of you. You will be qualified to work in a number of areas such as business operations, procurement, purchasing and inventory, warehousing, distribution, customer support, and transportation.
• Pairs well with other subjects - Our program is flexible and pairs well with a number of other subjects, allowing students to individualize their degree to best fit their career goals. Students pursuing the Marketing Emphasis have the opportunity to complement their degree with a minor or double-major in other areas of business which include hospitality management, marketing, public relations, and wellness and exercise promotion.
