The first semester is an intensive on-campus experience. Students will spend 30 to 40 hours a week in the classroom and laboratory. In addition to scanning in the laboratories, students will have the opportunity to use the University’s cadaver lab. Upon completion of the academic semester, students will attend clinical education for 40 hours per week at one of the University’s designated Clinical Education Centers. Clinical education is 35 weeks in length and totals 1,400 hours. This impressive amount of clinical education ensures that our graduates have attributes that employers are looking for. Along with the unique, three-semester design of the programs, students will complete their degree faster and begin their professional careers sooner!

Students enrolled in the Echocardiography program will spend 16 weeks in the classroom and laboratory settings learning normal and pathological conditions as they relate to the study of the adult heart. Students will experience a unique curriculum design that offers the opportunity to learn in the classroom a setting and then immediately apply this knowledge in the lab using state-of-the-art equipment.

Animal science/industry allows you to work with animals without a heavy research base, unlike animal science/science careers or veterinary studies.  Industry students learn the science they need to be knowledgeable on the subject, but focus more on:

Our courses offer comprehensive coverage of fundamental principles such as nutrition, breeding, physiology and marketing into complete production and management programs. The structure of industry, enterprise establishment, system of production, production practices, selection criteria and improvement programs are also addressed.

Health informatics uses the same principle of processing data, but for the purpose of improving healthcare outcomes. The data collected at doctors' offices, clinics, and pharmacies plays a critical role in healthcare reform. The University of Findlay's Master of Science in Health Informatics Program prepares students to take on emerging healthcare roles and to be successful in a fast-growing field. Our program is offered in two formats, which provides our students with the flexibility to fit classes into their busy schedules. The program is offered 100 percent online or in a hybrid format, which is a combination of both online and on-campus courses.

Students can complete the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program in just two years. They also have the option to complete six courses to earn the Certificate in Health Informatics, which can be applied towards the master's degree later.

Christian studies Emphasis
Students first learn the history of Christianity and interpretation of the Bible and develop their knowledge of the Old and New Testament.  They also gain hands-on experience through service learning.

Medical laboratory scientists perform laboratory tests used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. These tests range from simple blood tests to more complex analyses such as those needed to uncover diseases such as AIDS, diabetes or cancer. Medical laboratory scientists can also specialize in areas such as chemistry, hematology, blood banking, immunology and microbiology. They are responsible for the accuracy of test results and the reporting of results to the pathologist or other doctors.
