Business analytics refers to the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for the methodical exploration and investigation of business data. This includes using predictive and prescriptive statistical tools to support decision-making and to gain insight of business performance. There is a growing need in the market for well-rounded graduates who are able to transform data into meaningful information that can be used for strategic decision-making.

The Business Analytics Emphasis provides students with the skills to collect, analyze, understand, and interpret data. It exposes students to a variety of information systems and data through a series of business analytics courses. Students will also be provided with hands-on experience of statistical tools used in the business environment using data provided by industry partners. Our curriculum is designed to support a seamless transition from student to business professional.

You will learn how to design and implement effective HR management systems that handle employee selection, promotions, compensation, and benefits throughout the operation of any enterprise. HR management students learn additional aspects that are crucial to being effective in the human resources field such as the "stakeholder concept" which enables you to make informed decisions that are moral and ethical and relate to the corporate atmosphere.

Criminal justice majors benefit from an interdisciplinary curriculum that blends both academics and experience to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Findlay's graphic design major provides a curriculum focused on the development of visual communication skills through coursework in digital imaging, typography, interactive media, and commercial design. Students also gain experience in marketing and communications.

Findlay's art management major offers a combination of studio and art history experiences along with coursework in business administration, accounting, economics and marketing. This major prepares you for administrative positions related to galleries, museums, art centers, and community art organizations.

• The Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery provides opportunities for art management students to participate in the organization, preparation, and installation of shows. The Lea Gallery presents eight to ten exhibitions throughout the year, including works by students, faculty, and regional and national artists. Students engage with exhibiting artists through gallery talks, classroom demonstrations, and public presentations.
• Art management majors have the opportunity to visit nationally-recognized museums and galleries through study trips abroad, annual art program trips to New York City and Chicago, and class trips to museums such as the Toledo Museum of Art and the Detroit Institute of Art.
