Students in the Biomedical Sciences major are awarded a Bachelor of Science degree upon completion of all requirements. This submajor provides excellent preparation for medical, physician assistant, dental, or veterinary school, biomedical research, forensic science, or employment with pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.

The Music, BFA: Music Composition and Technology program fosters development in instrumental, vocal, and electroacoustic composition, with an emphasis on contemporary and experimental techniques.

The Cognitive and Developmental Sciences concentration provides students with the psychological foundations of education. The program emphasizes the perspective of the learner and concentrates on the following content areas: cognition, development, and social. The program focuses on research skills as they apply to education and training, throughout the lifespan, in a broad range of settings.

As an accountant, you’ll gather and organize financial information, analyze that information, assess performance and efficiency, and make suggestions for change or improvement.

With advancements in technology, continuing changes related to accounting rules and regulations, and rapid globalization, there is no shortage of new opportunities and challenges for accountants. And because understanding of the accounting “language” is so fundamental to business, a degree in Accounting is a great launch pad for any business career.

Our program emphasizes a conceptual fine art practice through the production of darkroom, digital, and hybrid work. Courses integrate socially situated projects with an understanding of both contemporary and historical visual culture by developing a vocabulary for effective communication within the photographic medium.

The College of Nursing offers an interdisciplinary professional graduate degree program leading to a Master of Sustainable Peacebuilding (MSP). The MSP is designed to prepare students for careers in peacebuilding—e.g. international development, conflict resolution, resource stewardship. The MSP curriculum is designed to develop student expertise in systems thinking, social-ecological interactions, and the application of such concepts to peacebuilding and development fields. In addition to fulfilling all Graduate School master’s degree requirements, MSP students are required to take 44 credits over the course of six semesters—two full calendar years. Only full-time students will be accepted to the program.

Students completing the MSP will:

• Classify the various components of complex social-ecological systems and identify appropriate intervention strategies.
• Recognize patterns of human-environment interaction, including drivers of change resulting in conflict, development, and peacebuilding.
• Acquire critical knowledge across at least four distinct disciplines relevant to development and peacebuilding and relate and translate knowledge among the disciplines.
• Facilitate effective group problem-solving processes, which includes communicating confidently and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Assess systemic outcomes of peacebuilding programs and policies and recommend adaptive modifications for improvement.

The finance major provides the needed tools to work in investment management, corporate financial management, and banking. Position titles for finance majors include loan officers, mortgage review officers, stockbrokers, bond and security analysts, and ultimately, chief financial officers. Finance majors are increasingly taking and passing the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) examination. Thorough training in finance and related fields provides the practical and theoretical background needed to succeed in the fast-paced and fascinating world of domestic and international finance.

The Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and Technology allows you the chance to pursue a variety of career options. A flexible educational path, combined with a blend of elective courses, and you’ll be prepared to work in different health and human service settings.

You will also be particularly well prepared for further graduate study in Occupational Therapy and other disability related disciplines. Acceptance and completion of the undergraduate program in occupational studies does not guarantee admission into the Master of Occupational Therapy Program.
