PTE Exam Fee 2024: Registration, Cancellation & Rescheduling Fee

The PTE exam is conducted by Pearson PLC Group. This exam is for study abroad aspirants, and the exam fee varies in the country. In India, the PTE exam fee is INR 17,000 . However, The cost of the PTE Academic exam in India is INR 17,000, which includes an 18% tax. Meanwhile, the PTE Home exam fee is INR 14,435 INR. The base fee for the PTE Academic exam in India is INR 14,406.78, with an additional 18% tax amounting to INR 2,593.22. This totals the price of the PTE test to INR 17,000. If candidates plan to reschedule the PTE test date before 7 days of the booked date, they need to pay an extra 50% fee.  In order to cancel the exam, candidates need to do it at least seven calendar days before their test date and will get a partial refund of 50% of the PTE test fee paid. Candidates can pay the exam fee through MasterCard, Visa,  and American Express Credit Cards.

PTE Exam Cancellation Fees

If candidates cancel the PTE exam in less than 14 calendar days but at least 7 calendar days before the original test date, they will get a partial refund of 50% of the PTE test fee paid. However, no refunds will be provided if candidates cancel the exam in less than seven calendar days before the exam. 

In the event of a medical condition or a family emergency, Pearson may offer the test takers the option of cancelling or rescheduling the test upon completing the form available on the website free of charge. If there is any other reason, the refund will be determined by the number of days remaining until the exam.

For example, if you cancel more than 14 days prior to the exam, you will get a full refund of your fees, whereas canceling within 7-13 days will only yield you half the fee and no repayment if you cancel within a week. That is why it is suggested to book a slot 25-30 days after registering to prevent such issues.

PTE Exam Rescheduling Fees

It is simple to rearrange your PTE examination date. The refund regulations are comparable to the cancellation rules. If you notify the administrators more than 14 days before, you won't have to pay extra; for 7 to 13 days prior to the exam, you will have to pay 50% of the fee; and for fewer than seven days, it will be taken as a new booking.

Because of the pandemic, there could be a case where PTE could cancel the booking. In this case, you will be sent an email. You will not be charged an extra sum in this instance.
