This combined degree allows students to complete their program in a shorter duration than completing back-to-back single degrees. Individually, both degrees equip students to think creatively and critically, problem-solve, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in a global context that is increasingly uncertain and complex. In combination, these two degrees not only present graduates with a broad range of career options but also provide an opportunity to specialise in their chosen career. The variety of possible career alternatives offered through the Bachelor of Business is found in the scope of majors on offer. These include Entrepreneurship and Innovation, International Business, Management, Marketing, Marketing Communication, and Tourism Management. Students are also encouraged to complete an internship, and/or undertake study abroad opportunities or a study tour to further augment this highly experiential program. The Bachelor of Commerce degree is more technical and discipline-focused and aims to prepare students for a career as a professional in a specific field. This degree is designed to develop students’ financial competencies, business analytic and decision-making skills and collaboration skills through experiential learning and authentic assessment tasks relevant to the choice of major. Students complete a major which specifically prepares them for a professional career in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Big Data, Economics or Finance fields. By undertaking a specified set of subjects according to their chosen discipline, Bachelor of Commerce students graduating with an Accounting, Actuarial Science or Finance major are generally eligible to pursue professional qualifications offered by their field’s governing bodies.

Accredited by the Actuaries Institute, the Master of Actuarial Science is an innovative and immersive program that combines elements of economics, finance, statistics, data analytics and advanced mathematics to develop techniques for the management of risk and business decision making.  The Master of Actuarial Science will be taught via smaller classes for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bond University's Bond FinTech Hub and Bloomberg data-sourcing terminals. The program will develop skills in the challenge of crunching 'big data' numbers to create practical solutions for real-world problems.  Employment opportunities include working as an investment analyst, portfolio manager, actuarial consultant, insurance actuary, superannuation actuary, risk analyst, big data analyst, liability manager and high-level manager.  The successful completion of the program at an appropriate level of performance will lead to Part I qualification with the Actuaries Institute

The Master of Project Management program provides a comprehensive business-ready foundation that will equip students from any background with the knowledge required to develop a career and expertise in project management. The Master of Project Management features four distinct study themes including strategy, sustainability, managing complex problems and teams, and virtual teams and global working. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including conflict resolution, effective integrated planning, management, market performance, portfolio management, public and private sector investment and risk identification. External speakers from leading investment banks, credit agencies and portfolio fund managers contribute to case studies and workshops.

The Master of Construction Practice covers a comprehensive range of subjects in the field of construction practice, focusing on the management and delivery of complex construction projects. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including building structures and soil mechanics, construction technology, construction techniques, plant and equipment, contract administration, building measurement, finance and cost planning, project management, refurbishment and retrofitting and risks. The program is accredited by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The program also meets the educational requirements of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) for attainment of an Open Builders License.

Purposefully designed for students holding a non-law degree qualification, this is the ideal program for those not interested in practising law but rather wanting to underpin their existing expertise by gaining a foundational understanding of the law, whether working in the legal industry as a non-legal professional or any other industry.

With internationalisation revolutionising education globally, the ability to teach in culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms is no longer only needed by English as a Second Language teachers but is becoming essential for all teachers, at all levels of education in Australia and globally. The Master of Arts in TESOL develops knowledge and skills necessary for teaching English as a Second or Additional Language and for working in diverse classrooms in varied educational contexts, in Australia and internationally. The program is designed to provide prospective teachers with expert knowledge and skills for the initial experience of language teaching. The program also can provide experienced educators with an opportunity to extend their qualifications and gain advanced professional development.  

The Master of Arts in TESOL involves the completion of twelve (12) subjects which develop expert theoretical knowledge of second language teaching and learning, and provide opportunities for teacher trainees to apply these theories in a language classroom. Students engage in synchronous and asynchronous online/multimodal sessions. These sessions explore principles of teaching and learning English as a second/additional language or dialect and link theories with their classroom applications. Students develop a personalised philosophy and practical approach to classroom teaching. The program examines many areas of language teacher education such as how languages work and function in a society and how they are learnt. Students also learn how to be effective teachers in traditional and online classrooms, how to design language assessment and language programs.   The Practicum of approximately 30-hours, enables students to learn from and observe other language teachers in action, and teach for a minimum of 6 hours under their supervision. Pending their performance in the program, we can assist students located on the Gold Coast in completing the Practicum at Bond University College, an English Language Centre on the Bond University campus.

If students are unable to complete their Practicum at Bond University College, it is their responsibility to secure the placement in another ELT centre. Depending on prior qualifications and individual arrangements, students may organise their Practicum in schools (if they are registered teachers) or in other ELT Centres. Many teachers complete the Practicum at the place of their current employment.   Students work with a lecturer and peers in weekly interactive and collaborative sessions which provide a unique opportunity for becoming part of a dynamic learning community. Students also engage in self-paced learning through pre-recorded and post-recorded resources and gamified learning activities.   Students can commence their studies in the Master of Arts in TESOL in the January, May or September semester. All domestic students students can study either part-time or full-time. International students who study in Australia must enrol in the full-time study option. It is estimated that students need to spend approximately 10 hours per week of study per subject, in order to successfully complete it. Students who are in employment are, therefore, advised to undertake their studies part-time, particularly in their first semester.

The Bachelor of Social Science program encompasses several disciplines including criminology, psychology, counselling and behaviour management. The Bond University Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science equips you with comprehensive knowledge and applied skills in health, fitness, and sports performance. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the basic and applied sciences as they apply to personal and community health and fitness, and sports performance at all levels. Areas of study include human anatomy and physiology, exercise and sport physiology, exercise biochemistry and molecular biology, biomechanics, motor learning and control, exercise, and sports psychology. The program focuses on real-world learning delivered through significant practical experience and authentic assessment to maximize employment outcomes for graduates. Delivery of the program is primarily at the Bond Institute of Health and Sport where you will gain high-quality and practical learning experiences in our internationally-recognized High-Performance Training Centre, as well as our exercise and sports science teaching and research laboratories. These facilities provide sports science testing, training, and recovery services to a variety of elite and sub-elite athletes including state, national and international athletes and teams, providing an exceptional and authentic learning experience for students.  Throughout the degree, you will engage with and deliver a wide range of athlete testing, performance analysis, exercise prescription, and delivery for healthy individuals and non-athletes, as well as strength and conditioning opportunities for athletes. You will also learn, engage and collaborate with other allied health professional students including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nutrition, and dietetics, which models the current best practice for allied health care. The program prepares graduates for exciting career opportunities in exercise science, sports science, and strength and conditioning as well as providing an accelerated undergraduate pathway to graduate-entry studies including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, and dietetic practice, and high-performance sports science.

An integral part of this degree is the development of research skills and actuarial judgement through the Actuarial Control Cycle subjects and the Actuarial Research Thesis subject.
