In the Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging, you will have the opportunity to further develop your artistic practice and hone your creative skills. 

Designed to build practical and highly transferrable skills across a range of industry contexts, including commercial, advertising, documentary, editorial, institutional and fine art photography, this qualification will teach you to:

• Interpret photo imaging assignment briefs
• Consult with clients to refine objectives of photo imaging assignments
• Select the appropriate tools to capture images, including types of camera, image recording media, lighting, post-capture processing and outputs
• Work from a studio or in a range of locations
• Employ aesthetic, conceptual, compositional and technical skills to realise photo imaging outcomes, and 
• Utilise a range of traditional, contemporary and emergent technologies in the capture, preparation and distribution of images.

As a graduate of this diploma, you will have a sound theoretical and practical knowledge base, and the skills to use a range of specialised and technical skills to plan, execute and evaluate photography and photo imaging services.

You’ll be introduced to key institutions and concepts in criminal justice, including policing and the correctional system. You’ll also learn about the uses of technology in crime, crime theories and crime investigation.

You'll explore how criminal justice systems work to serve individuals and the community through law enforcement, policy, practice and reform.

Classes about international human rights, global crime and public policy will give you the chance to expand your knowledge and expertise. In your final year, you’ll put your skills to the test with a 50-day work placement in a criminal justice organisation.

Learn through innovative programs like the Bridge of Hope Innocence Initative, a project where students work on real cases of wrongful conviction. 

If you want to enter the police forces, or work in corrections, courts, customs and related agencies, this degree is for you. It also provides a qualification for those working in relevant agencies to assist with career progression and moving into other related fields.

n the Master of Animation, Games and Interactivity, our students work alongside ACMI X, exhibit their work at the Melbourne International Animation Festival, and have opportunities to collaborate with academic staff, industry practitioners, and RMIT research centres.
