A widening skills gap across industry means the demand for skilled professionals in energy efficient and sustainable building practices is on the rise.

In response to this industry demand, this degree will provide you with the essential skills and theory to design, develop and implement solutions for new and retrofitted buildings and sustainable built environment.

Your studies will prepare you to navigate the complex and rapidly changing environment of industry issues, trends, and economic and sustainability policies. You will get hands on experience in sustainability assessment tools and software used in the design and planning process.

You will graduate with specialist knowledge of sustainable building design and technologies, building energy and climate engineering, and the management of sustainable building projects.

In consultation with your discipline honours coordinator and your supervisor, you'll be allocated a project to develop your skills to an advanced level.

The Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) looks at animation in all its forms, from the animated character to motion graphics across linear and interactive environments. Presented in a creative environment, this degree focuses on intellectual investigation and conceptual development.

Upon graduating, you will demonstrate aesthetic and intellectual maturity, as well as strong technical abilities within design, media and art disciplines.

Focus on design
You will focus intensively on the practice of design itself, developing advanced, specialised techniques for creative and collaborative work. Projects are curated around key sites of urban change locally and globally and engage with the professional and community networks invested in their future. 

You will learn to creatively integrate expertise from related urban disciplines into design proposals, promoting alternative models for future city-building. This program is designed to nurture designers who would like to advance their career and develop innovative approaches to their practice.

On productions there may be many takes to produce the right shot, but it only takes one associate degree to give you the skills you need to build a career in screen and media content production.

This qualification will teach you valuable screen industry skills and knowledge in the key areas of concept development, storytelling, pre-production, production and post-production for single and multi-camera productions.

Throughout the curriculum, there is a strong emphasis on industry knowledge, collaboration, team building, creative application and professionalism. We offer a broad range of classes and screenings, as well as computer lab, location and studio-based exercises and productions.

With access to a range of professional equipment and facilities, you are actively encouraged to develop and produce innovative screen content to industry standard.

With the Master of Communication Design you will develop expertise in communication design practice, and focus on design entrepreneurship and strategic design thinking.

Push your creative boundaries and think critically to find design solutions to communication challenges.
Develop expert knowledge and specialised technical and creative skills to prepare for professional roles in multidisciplinary environments, including communication design studios, digital design consultancies, advertising agencies, design teams within other organisations, and in independent practices.
