The Graduate Diploma in Property has been designed to help you develop the specialised knowledge and skills required to practice as a property advisor or manager.

The flexible structure of this curriculum includes combination of face-to-face and online delivery modes that suit working professionals. Through your studies, you will address the industry need for property specialists with a particular focus on corporate real estate, development and management.

Through this diploma, you will learn to apply knowledge of property theory and concepts to the local and global professional arena, demonstrating evidenced-based judgement and ethical decision-making. In this diploma, you'll examine the principles, techniques and regulations of the building and construction industry for all types of medium-rise and wide-span buildings up to 25 metres high.

This practical curriculum incorporates hands-on work and project-based learning. You'll experience many aspects of building projects and understand how they all relate to each other. You’ll go on site excursions to gain hands-on field experience which will include visits to residential and commercial construction projects.

Graduates have the option to continue further studies in construction, project management, or property services with RMIT.

With the Master of Communication Design you will develop expertise in communication design practice, and focus on design entrepreneurship and strategic design thinking.

The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Directing) is delivered as part of a sequence, beginning with the Diploma of Screen and Media (Content Creation).

Upon satisfactory completion of the diploma you will be eligible to progress to the advanced diploma.

This advanced diploma gives you the broad base necessary to move ahead in the art, design, screen and media industries. In consultation with your discipline honours coordinator and your supervisor, you'll be allocated a project to develop your skills to an advanced level.

All projects draw from the wide range of disciplines taught across RMIT's science programs. Many projects involve substantial cross-disciplinary work.

Occupational health and safety is a multidisciplinary profession examining the technical and social aspects of work with applications in most industries and commerce.

The course focuses on the science and technology of risk management through assessment and evaluation of hazards and development of specific control mechanisms.

Learn how to apply a risk management model to hazards in the workplace, allowing you to recognise the context, evaluate the risk, and generate control solutions. You will use the model of OHS Professional Practice for problem solving which involves gathering information about the issue, diagnosing the issue, developing and implementing appropriate interventions, and evaluating their effectiveness, all the while communicating with relevant stakeholders.
You will develop advanced knowledge in:

• The global concepts of health, safety and work, and the implications that these have in organisations
• The socio-political and organisational context in which work occurs and how this impacts work design and its effects on the workers
• The physical, ergonomic and psychosocial causes of fatalities, injuries and ill health arising from work
• Recognition of hazards, assessment and evaluation of their risk, and development of suitable controls

You will learn to apply these concepts in a range of contexts, allowing you to develop confidence and proficiency in your professional OHS and occupational hygiene practice. Many of your assessments will incorporate Work Integrated Learning (WIL) by focusing on OHS issues in your work situation.
