In consultation with your discipline honours coordinator and your supervisor, you'll be allocated a project to develop your skills to an advanced level.

These projects are developed for honours students and may be a preliminary exploration, a component of a bigger research project, or part of an existing or new collaboration. All projects draw from the wide range of disciplines taught across RMIT's science programs. Many projects involve substantial cross-disciplinary work.

This diploma is suitable for those who already have bilingual skills, but have not yet reached the required level of specialised language proficiency for the Advanced Diploma of Interpreting.

Interpreters provide a critical service, helping people to overcome language barriers when accessing community services in areas such as health, education, law, business and travel.

You’ll gain basic transfer skills for interpreting in general conversational settings, learn about professional ethics, and improve language proficiency. You'll develop the skills to conduct transactions, interactions, and negotiations at a functional level.

Students studying spoken language will explore legal and medical terminology, while Auslan interpreting students will learn about health and education terminology.

In the new world of finance, there is strong demand for highly skilled, analytical thinkers who have a proven ability to innovate.

The quantitatively oriented Master of Finance provides both depth and breadth in finance. Designed to enhance your analytical and problem-solving abilities and develop your understanding of the principles of finance, it explores finance, financial modelling, econometrics, trading, research and the analysis of financial markets.

Using real-time market data, you’ll participate in trading simulations and workshops for multi-asset portfolio and risk analysis, hedging, and money market and foreign exchange instruments trading, all in purpose-built facilities in the heart of Melbourne.
