This postgraduate pre-service teacher education program is offered in intensive mode to enable completion in one and a half years or over two years full-time. The program provides professional preparation for teaching in primary school (Prep to Year 6) settings. It is designed for graduates from a non-education background wishing to teach in this context.

The program covers the theory and practice of teaching concentrating on the characteristics of learners; the social and educational contexts of education; curriculum studies and professional experience in relevant settings.

The Master of Visual Arts degree is suited to both artists who want to deepen their understanding of the contemporary art world, as well as graduates who are changing disciplines and want to pursue and expand their artistic and creative capabilities.

You will extend on and refine your visual literacy skills and your ability to critically analyse artworks and understand key concepts in contemporary visual art. The degree encourages you to explore ideas in contemporary visual culture and develop your studio art practice so you can produce a significant body of work for exhibition.

By joining a community of expert art practitioners you will be encouraged to experiment and stretch the boundaries of innovation across a broad range of media, including drawing, jewellery, painting, photography, print-making and sculpture.

As digital disruption becomes a reality, the ability to analyse vast quantities of data to extract relevant intelligence for commercial planning is a highly sought after skill. By combining these degrees, you will gain crucial skills in data science that they will be able to apply to business and commercial scenarios; helping to future-proof their careers. You'll gain the skills to analyse, manipulate, model and interpret large data sets using digital platforms and tools, including Python, Tableau, Hadoop and SQL. Majors
A major is a focus of study within your degree, in the field of your choice. The new Bachelor of Business offers you a wider choice, now with more than 20 majors. Wider choice also means more flexibility for you to combine two majors from a suite; for example, you can graduate with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Management or a Bachelor of Business in International Business and Economics.

To be awarded a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree, one additional year of study is required following the successful completion of the Bachelor of Business.

In the Honours year, you will complete courses to develop your research skills and a 20,000-word dissertation. Your dissertation topic will be decided in consultation with academic staff members and will focus on a topic or theme related to the stream of study you choose.

As a graduate, you will have a competitive edge, as you will be equipped with practical skills, experience and attributes that employers value, as well as highly developed research capabilities. Your skills will be valuable in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

This degree will provide you with a deep understanding of policy, politics and power in the modern world, and the forces that shape these dynamics at the global and domestic levels. You'll learn about political institutions and processes, business-government relations, and foreign policy and globalisation.

In your first year, you will develop your understanding of politics and international relations. In your second and third years, you will expand this knowledge by completing a major and finishing your studies with either a parliamentary internship or a work placement.

In your final year you will complete an independent research project under the supervision of an academic staff member. The Honours program is a critical element for students seeking a direct pathway into research, academia and employment in many consulting and government organisations who prioritise the employment of honours graduates.

The Master of International Law Studies program will equip a variety of high achieving, practitioners, professionals and scholars to appreciate, understand, apply and critique international, comparative and globalised law principles, rules and skills in contexts such as international and cross-border transactions and disputes; cross-border family law disputes; cross-border negotiations and private as well as public international law developments.

The program is designed to give talented students an opportunity to excel in their chosen field and join an intellectual community of scholars interested in both private and public international law and comparative law studies.

The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Engineering is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

The Griffith Sciences Group will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.

This is a GRADUATE ENTRY degree. It offers graduates, who have previously completed a non-law degree or higher providing it is equivalent to a minimum of 1.5 years fulltime study and achieved a GPA of 4.0 or higher, direct entry into law at Griffith University. You'll join a law school dedicated to social justice and learn from award-winning teachers and researchers who are challenging the status quo and creating new legal knowledge, models and processes. As a student, you'll learn through hands-on experiences from year one. You'll make connections between law and ethics, legal theory, Indigenous issues, and internationalisation.
