The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Information Technology is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

The Griffith Sciences Group will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.

Your learning experience will involve practising engineers directly through your laboratory and tutorial sessions. The study of nutrition and dietetics focuses on the food we eat in relation to the treatment and prevention of a range of important diseases. Students in this program will initially study fundamental health sciences (e.g. anatomy, physiology, biochemistry) before completing more advanced study of human nutrition. The final stage of the program involves practicum placements in hospitals and other health facilities. This program prepares students at the appropriate tertiary level to meet Dietitians Australia, national competency standards for entry into the profession as a dietitian. Students who graduate from this program will be able establish careers in either clinical, public health or food service nutrition. Increased graduate opportunities exist for private practitioners with the recent introduction of Medicare items for services provided to patients with chronic disease and within the corporate nutrition sector.

This program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to undertake advanced study and supervised research work in the specialisation defined by their undergraduate degree program within the context of a multidisciplinary cohort.

The Master of Design (MDes) is an exploration of 21st century creative practices suited to current or emerging designers who wish to complement their existing skills with concepts, strategies, and technologies to solve complex problems in business, government and communities.

It offers students the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge on design context and processes in multiple areas including experience design, design thinking, emerging design futures and business and professional practice. These courses are complimented by a range of practical/making courses in the areas of visual communication, prototyping, still/moving image and interactive design. The program gives a broad range of disciplines (design and non-design) the opportunity to upskill and build upon contemporary practices relevant to all designers and equip them with the knowledge base to pursue a major design research project of their choice.

Students will utilise both collaborative and individual working contexts to expand their knowledge of contemporary design processes at professional industry level. They will gain research and critical thinking skills which will be deployed in a major design project in the second year of the program. Graduates will be prepared for practice-led work and/or design strategy and leadership in macro, micro and freelance scenarios.

This program gives you a unique opportunity to prepare for a career as an environmental scientist or as an urban and environmental planner. Upon graduating, you will be equipped to play an important role in bringing social and natural sciences together to find solutions for complex planning issues and problems.

With a strong focus on practical, hands-on teaching, you'll learn state-of-the-art drawing studios and work on real industry projects.
