 Industrial Design (Major)

When you study Industrial Design at UNSW, you’ll be inspired and challenged to use insightful and strategic product design for the good of people and the planet.

Through practical studio classes and theoretical courses, you’ll explore design thinking and methodologies. With an ethical and sustainable approach, you’ll develop professional design skills in drawing, ideation, making, and prototyping as you learn about manufacturing technology, materials, sustainability, user interaction and more.

Europe has a rich history as well as a complicated present. From Britain, Russia, and the Mediterranean to Northern Europe – delve into the intellectual history, politics, religion, and movement of minority peoples throughout history. You'll also have the opportunity to see Europe through our international exchange.

The UNSW Master of International Relations recognises the complexity and the globalised nature of today’s world, and is specifically designed to advance your understanding of global politics and foreign policy.  Through this degree, you’ll critically examine theories and issues in contemporary world politics. You’ll explore international security, great-power rivalry, regional conflicts, nuclear proliferation, global environmental politics, civil conflict and terrorism, human rights, gender politics, international political economy, development and other pressing international issues.

Alongside this, you’ll learn to understand how these concepts and theories in international relations shape our view of the world. As a specialist in reproductive health, you’ll have the opportunity to explore careers as a GP, a family planning practitioner or a specialist gynaecologist working in menopause and infertility. You can also specialise in nursing and counselling or as a biological scientist.  

Complications with HIV/STIs, infertility and unplanned pregnancy are consistent health issues that require addressing through new reproductive technologies and specialised professionals. Public Relations (Major)
Choosing to specialise in public relations & advertising for your Bachelor of Media at UNSW will provide you with practical skills, knowledge and experience you need for a career in these exciting and dynamic promotional industries. Selecting from a focused set of courses, you will gain practical experience and a critical perspective on advertising, public relations, and communication.

You’ll learn to think critically about public relations and advertising. You will also gain hands-on experience in areas such as; strategic communication, campaign development, crisis communication, branding, media relations and social media, as you’re mentored by a diverse team of staff with years of industry and research experience.

This broad degree covers the steps in a product's creation, from chemistry through to economics. Chemical engineers design, create and optimise the systems and equipment used in chemical, industrial, biological and environmental processes, producing a range of materials, like fuels, fertilisers, foods, wine, polymers and pharmaceuticals.

Chemical Engineering bridges the study of the chemical and physical sciences with engineering. You'll learn how to design and develop chemical processes and equipment, optimise and control industrial operations, plan plant operations, tailor management strategies, work with nanoparticles, look into environmental effects and pollution control, and more.
