The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Combine your interest in mathematics with engineering. Choose from a wide range of engineering specialisations, from traditional disciplines such as civil engineering and electrical engineering, through to those tailored to modern challenges, such as renewable energy engineering. Pairing this with the advanced mathematics degree allows you to gain a deep understanding of the mathematics and statistics that underpin all engineering. You’ll choose a major from both Engineering and Business which means your degree can be tailored to your professional aspirations and interests. Combine Finance and Civil Engineering or Business Analytics and Computer Engineering or even International Business and Chemical Engineering.

In this degree you’ll apply yourself to engineering design, problem solving, research projects, professional engineering practice and technical management with the ability to recognise and analyse current global business challenges and opportunities.

This double degree enables students to gain skills and knowledge in the technical field of Computer Science as well as in a variety of subjects in Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Computer Science component emphasises comprehension of the basic principles behind computing tools, operating systems, compilers and translators, and computer hardware. You'll study the representation of data and data structures and the design of algorithms, as well as the creation of hardware and software tools and the role of non-computing elements in the design and development process.

In the Arts component, you'll choose a major and a minor from a range of disciplines, including languages, arts, history, philosophy and business. Biotechnology takes our understanding of cell biology and chemistry to create a range of products and solutions to problems in medicine, food and energy. The Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) includes fundamental teaching in the life sciences, explores current trends and issues in the industry and tackles key focus areas including synthetic biology, bioprocessing, medical applications and commercialisation. It also incorporates a research-based honours year, providing you with greater experience and confidence in the practice of scientific methods.
