This degree is ideal for people with very specific or niche interests as there are 21 specialisations to choose from. This postgraduate double degree will upskill you in your discipline specific skills as well as broad business skills such as Management, Leadership and Problem Solving at an organisation level. The Master of Information Technology provides a broad-based IT education, and more specialised knowledge in up to two areas, enabling you to work in a range of positions in the IT industry.

Both degrees allow you to specialise, choosing from a range of disciplines, to pursue your career ambitions. This program will enable you to graduate with two Masters degrees after three years. If you qualify for advanced standing through Recognised Prior Learning you'll be able to complete both degrees up to a year and a half sooner meaning you could have two postgraduate degrees after just a year and a half.

UNSW Master of Engineering Science (Water Engineering: Catchments to Coast), is a two-year full-time or part-time equivalent postgraduate degree at Australia’s top engineering faculty. The Master of Global Health (Extension)/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence will provide you with advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills to undertake infectious diseases prevention and control and health services management roles in government, community and health service settings with a focus on international settings.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities
At UNSW Science, we focus on delivering the optimal balance of theory and practical work to equip you with the skills and experience to fast-track your career. The SCIF3199 Science Work Placement course gives you the opportunity to gain practical work experience through an internship. Previous work placement students have interned with IT companies, start-ups, government departments and large biomedical and biotechnology companies. Along with new professional skills and connections, you’ll also gain course credit for your work placement.
Research internship course
The SCIF2041 Research Internship course gives you the opportunity to complete a short theoretical or experimental research project in a world-leading research team supervised by a member of academic staff. Internships may also involve a placement outside of UNSW, in the form of externally funded research programs.
