The Master of Global Health (Extension)/Master of Public Health offers an innovative approach to postgraduate health education, enabling you to specialise in public health in international developing country contexts as well as Australia and other developed countries.

The Master of Global Health (Extension) provides an opportunity for high-achieving students to extend their studies by completing additional courses and a research project in global health. The Master of Public Health is recognised as essential for a career in population health. Studying this combination of degrees will cultivate sophisticated knowledge and skills in public health that you can apply to a broad range of highly complex population health issues in local and global settings. It meets a well-recognised need to strengthen public health capacities within Australia and internationally.

UNSW’s Master of Commerce (MCom) is a 1.7 year full-time postgraduate coursework degree. The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Specialise in cinema studies, communications and journalism, media studies, public relations & advertising, or screen production. Here, you’ll develop practical job skills as well as conceptual, strategic, creative, and critical capabilities to help you make your impact in the exciting and fast-changing media industries.

Screen production
Preparing for your audio-visual production career starts here. Throughout this three-year full-time degree, you will gain a range of audio, visual, and digital production skills that will equip you with the tools and knowledge to remain at the leading edge of local and international media industries.

With a career in sound production, video production, animation, film, or online games on the horizon – this degree will focus on conceptual knowledge and professional skills. Undertake hands-on learning with the latest technology, industry experience and a diverse team of academics and award-winning animators, filmmakers, scriptwriters, sound artists and game researchers ready to guide you along the way. 

Practicing using the latest cameras, audio recorders, microphones, lights, dollies and gimbals – you’ll build a strong portfolio of audio-visual work you can leverage professionally. You’ll also have access to advanced multimedia labs, digital video production and post-production facilities, animation and audio production studios. This includes our Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab, which has a system of computer-controlled amplification for the perfect performance environment.

The UNSW Bachelor of Arts is a three-year degree when studied full time. As you develop your worldview through personalised course combinations, you’ll define a future life purpose suited to your passions and skills.

The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) is a four-year degree when studied full time, with an integrated honours component.

This bachelor’s degree focuses on the very real and very important outcomes of social work – giving you the practical skills to make a difference, with direct guidance from industry professionals and current social workers. The UNSW Master of Translation is a 1.7 year full-time postgraduate degree that prepares you for a successful career as a certified translator, both in Australia and overseas. Choose from a variety of languages and industry specialisations. You'll learn current theory and critical skills from leading interpreting and linguistics practitioners and researchers, while gaining practical experience in professional settings.

Modern finance relies heavily on mathematical modelling to manage investment portfolios, financial planning, pricing of financial products and analysing business risk. The Master of Financial Mathematics was introduced in 2007 to provide the financial sector (banks, insurance companies, investment companies) with a stream of highly trained specialists in quantitative finance. This program is suitable for students with an aptitude for mathematics and a keen interest in finance, who are looking for a pathway into the financial industry.

The LLM MBA (Law) is a postgraduate double degree program that allows you to combine the breadth of knowledge from an MBA with the advanced study of Law.
