The UNSW Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a four-year, full-time (or part-time equivalent) double degree that provides you with the skills to pursue a career in secondary-school teaching, specialising in science and mathematics. After completing the degree, you’ll have a professional teaching qualification as well as a flagship science degree from our science faculty, UNSW Science.

You’ll learn how science is taught and gain an understanding of STEM subject areas such as environmental science, physics or mathematics. When you graduate, you’ll be prepared for a career that inspires the next generation to pursue their skills and passions in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

The UNSW Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a recognised qualification in initial teacher education. You'll graduate qualified to embark on a career as a secondary school teacher in both government and non-government secondary schools throughout Australia and overseas.

The Master of Public Health (Extension)/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence enables you to specialise in both public health and infectious disease epidemiology, prevention and control and develop research skills in public health.

The Master of Public Health is widely recognised as essential for a career in population health, including health promotion, primary health care, policy formulation, research, and management of health programs. This degree also includes a research project which will cultivate your critical thinking and communication skills as you explore contemporary public health issues. When combined with the Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence, you will gain a sophisticated understanding and application across a complex body of multidisciplinary knowledge - including infectious diseases intelligence, policy design, implementation and evaluation.

The program fosters judgment-ready practitioners who can contribute to improving population health and work across a range of contexts including ministries and departments of health, government and non-government and voluntary organisations, military and first responder organisations, primary care and community healthcare services in both public and private sectors.

The UNSW Master of Public Relations & Advertising/Master of Design combines two postgraduate degrees over two or three years full-time. The Master of Engineering Science (Transport Engineering) is designed to develop skills in modelling and analysing transport systems, both passenger and freight.

You will gain deep knowledge in the planning, functional design, operation and management of transport infrastructure, with a focus on its economic and environmental impact.

The program will provide you with advanced study options including transport planning, ITS and land use and risk management and safety, through to network design, demand estimation and sustainability, emissions and health.

It aims to meet the real-world need for safe, quick, reliable and efficient transport systems that are becoming ever more important due to global population growth and urban sprawl.

The typical two-year program, sitting within the UNSW School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, comprises open-ended enquiry-based projects as well as many other opportunities to help you become a leader in the field.

You will develop a systematic approach to solving problems, as well as core project planning skills and the ability to analyse, interpret and communicate results proficiently.
