Economists focus on the roles of  incentives, resource constraints, laws, customs, and institutions. The Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a four-year double degree that transforms creative thinking into the confidence to guide future generations. You’ll develop professional design skills and be prepared to teach visual arts to high school students.

The Master of Engineering Science (Electrical Engineering) is a two-year full-time year degree at UNSW’s leading engineering faculty. You’ll explore the study of electrical engineering where you’ll learn across a variety of engineering systems, including renewable energy and signal processing.

This postgraduate degree is designed to take your knowledge of a specialisation from an undergraduate degree level to an advanced post graduate level. Armed with expertise, you'll be able to enter a new field or lay the foundations for a career in research and development.

Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

• The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
• The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)
• The general processes leading to disease (pathology)
• The role of bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in disease (microbiology)
• Drugs which are used to cure human diseases (pharmacology)
• The way in which our form and function is inherited (genetics)
• The processes of development from the fertilised ovum (embryology)
• The natural defences of the body (immunology)
• The structure and function of the brain (neuroscience).
• This degree provides the basis for a career in biomedical research and is also an appropriate first degree if you’re planning to progress to graduate medical or paramedical degrees.

Medical Immunology

This major will prepare you to unlock better treatments and prevention strategies for immune-related illnesses. This major is particularly beneficial to students who want to pursue a career in the health sciences, particularly in immunology leading to clinical medicine, biomedical research, hospital-based laboratory work and allied health

The Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) consists of a year-long major independent research project (completed under the guidance of an academic supervisor), and a thesis based on the project. In addition, you'll complete advanced core and elective coursework.

The research project may be undertaken in most areas of psychology, such as:

• Behavioural neuroscience
• Cognitive science

• Forensic psychology
• social, personality and developmental psychology.

The coursework requirement includes content that encompasses history, professional ethics, evidence-based practice and advanced coverage of selected contemporary issues in psychology.
