The field of Engineering is rapidly evolving. Quantum Engineering is a new approach to working with quantum technology. Quantum Engineering combines the broad skills of engineering with fundamental physics in a unique way that allows engineers to solve contemporary problems and engineer solutions for the future.  Quantum mechanics opens the doors for Quantum Engineers to leverage quantum physics to deliver unprecedented solutions to engineering problems.

Quantum Engineers specialise in how high-frequency, nanometer-scale electronics can be made to harness quantum nature. When you study Quantum Engineering at UNSW, you'll develop the skillset required for the next generation of microelectronics, microwave and telecommunications engineers.

In this bachelor's degree, you'll learn how to work with a range of quantum systems, from high-frequency signals to very small electronic circuits.

Our expert academics will teach you about novel systems where the quantum phenomenon is the core aspect such as quantum computers, quantum sensors and quantum communications. You'll gain practical experience by taking part in 60 days of industrial training throughout your degree to prepare you for a successful career in the growing sector of Quantum Engineering, anywhere in the world.

International Business(Major)
With a specialisation in international business, you can become a professional globetrotter, join a borderless boardroom, and change how the world does business. This study area will set you up with strong foundations in business, commerce, and/or economics, with options to study abroad and go on exchange. You can even incorporate language study into your program.

Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

• The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
• The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)
• The general processes leading to disease (pathology)
• The role of bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in disease (microbiology)
• Drugs which are used to cure human diseases (pharmacology)
• The way in which our form and function is inherited (genetics)
• The processes of development from the fertilised ovum (embryology)
• The natural defences of the body (immunology)
• The structure and function of the brain (neuroscience).
• This degree provides the basis for a career in biomedical research and is also an appropriate first degree if you’re planning to progress to graduate medical or paramedical degrees.

Human Anatomy
Study the structures of the human body. This major covers:

• Gross anatomy (form, arrangement and function of the bones, joints, muscles and internal organs)

• Histology (microscopic structure of tissues and cells)

• Embryology (development of the embryo and fetus from conception to birth)

• Neuroanatomy (organisation and functions of the brain and spinal cord)

• Biological anthropology (applying biological principles to the study of humans).

 

The Master of Health Leadership and Management (Extension) provides you with advanced disciplinary knowledge and capacities for tackling challenging senior managerial roles in health services in Australia or internationally. The degree is designed to develop judgement-ready, critically reflexive practitioners who can improve health service systems and outcomes.
