UNSW’s Business School’s Master of Commerce Extension (MCom (Ext)) is a postgraduate coursework degree that can be completed in two-years full-time. Why study international business?

With a specialisation in international business, you can become a professional globetrotter, join a borderless boardroom, and change how the world does business. This study area will set you up with strong foundations in business, commerce, and/or economics, with the added bonus of one-year compulsory overseas exchange. You can even incorporate language study into your program.

UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

This double degree combines specialised knowledge in Engineering with the variety of possibilities available in an Arts degree. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) will provide you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing to give you knowledge and skills in whichever engineering discipline specialisation you choose.

In the Arts component, you’ll choose a major from a range of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences, including languages, arts, history, philosophy and business. You’ll develop transferable skills and in-depth knowledge, and gain the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

This double degree combines the professional Bachelor of Laws with the Bachelor of Media to give you a unique understanding of how these two industries can influence, persuade and create important lasting change. The combination develops communications leaders who inspire innovation and adhere to the highest ethical standards.

Through your studies in media, you’ll be equipped with the expertise to make a difference in the exciting, challenging, and constantly evolving field of media. Media at UNSW pushes you to develop confidence in a diverse and flexible mix of creative, critical, and practical knowledge. This double degree combination is relevant if you’re interested in becoming a media lawyer, or working in public sector communication, and public relations.

The UNSW Bachelor of Commerce/Fine Arts is a double-degree that can be completed in 4 years full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), you’ll learn in the classroom and the boardroom. Through the Bachelor of Fine Arts, you'll explore your artistic ideas and practices, build technical skills and knowledge, and learn from experts in practical and theoretical classes. The Master of Professional Accounting (Extension) follows the structure of the Master of Professional Accounting but adds four extra courses in your choice of electives to further your knowledge. This provides you with the opportunity to complete a more comprehensive program beyond the core professional knowledge areas required for accreditation.

You'll gain an excellent foundation in business with a strong accounting focus. In this postgraduate degree you'll learn accounting principles, their applications and other relevant knowledge in economics, finance, information systems and law.

The Bachelor of International Public Health is designed for students who are interested in improving the health and wellbeing of populations across the globe, and in the prevention of disease and disability. Public health focuses on improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of communities, with an emphasis on prevention among large groups of people.

This degree focuses on supporting you to develop the practical skills and knowledge required to investigate local and global public health problems, as well as the ability to design and implement innovative new approaches to emerging issues. It will provide you with a solid understanding of the different health needs of communities, the social and environmental factors that influence health and how to reduce the risks and inequities.

This three-year degree will expose you to a range of public health challenges designed to prepare you for a variety of roles within the field of public health, as well as support you to develop your skills in critical thinking, research, communication and leadership.

With flexible learning options including on-campus and online (full-time and part-time), you can tailor the program to suit your needs. Our multidisciplinary teaching team has extensive experience in global public health and have active roles in influencing health policies and strategies to support population health in Australia and overseas.

Bioinformatics is where computing and the life sciences meet. It involves the development of technologies to work with and manage the huge volumes of genetic information being generated.

Bioinformatics is at the convergence of computing and the life sciences, and involves the development of technologies for storing, extracting, organising, analysing, interpreting and using the growing volume of genetic information being generated.The need to process and analyse vast amounts of information requires advances in both software technologies and hardware architectures.

In this degree you'll learn the foundation disciplines of bioinformatics, which includes biology (biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics), computing (algorithms, databases and programming), mathematics and statistics. You'll gain the skills to design and implement software for activities such as identifying the genes affected in specific cancer types.

UNSW Master of Engineering (Mining) is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree taught at Australia’s top engineering faculty. Upon graduation you’ll have the engineering accreditation to help you get ahead in your career. The flexible degree offers in-depth knowledge and technical ability in your specialisation of mining while contributing to your ongoing professional development. You’ll develop your skills in engineering management, analysis and design that you’ll apply through practical experience in industrial training.

This degree is designed for students with an undergraduate degree wanting to pursue a career in the Engineering profession with an accreditation by Engineers Australia. You’ll graduate with a qualification that is internationally recognised by the Washington Accord and is globally recognised to facilitate the mobility of engineers.

The Master of Engineering includes an integrated 60 days industrial training component and courses to develop your technical knowledge and skills in engineering management, analysis and design to ensure you graduate career-ready and accredited.

You’ll have the opportunity to undertake an extensive research project to extend your knowledge in a specific area of interest. The project enables students to gain valuable skills in project planning and management and learn methods to undertake the critical analysis, interpretation and communication of results.
