Biotechnology takes our understanding of cell biology and chemistry to create a range of products and solutions to problems in medicine, food and energy. The UNSW Bachelor of Architectural Studies is a three-year degree when studied full time. Here, you will learn to design buildings and their surrounds to meet the needs of the people who use them. Computational Design (Major)

When you study Computational Design at UNSW, you’ll learn to approach challenges differently through design-thinking. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, including 3D modelling, digital geometry and parametric design, responsive environments, AR and VR, and robotic and digital fabrication using 3D printers and laser cutters.

As part of our supportive Arts, Design & Architecture community, you’ll be encouraged to collaborate across disciplines, gain professional experience, and take advantage of programs that support entrepreneurship and innovation. You’ll have the opportunity to work on real-life projects set by UNSW’s partners in the built-environment, architecture and design industries such as Cox, Arup, Hassell, BVN, Bates Smart, PTW Architects, Grimshaw, Mott McDonald, and Aurecon.

The Master of Actuarial Studies equips you with the data analytics and quantitative risk management training for an actuarial career, and careers in finance.

Through this degree, you’ll learn to apply advanced analytical techniques, deliver highly valued data analytics, and actionable insights. You’ll also develop a specialist quantitative skill set in actuarial models, financial mathematics, probability, machine learning / artificial intelligence analytics, and commerce. The program is accredited by the Actuaries Institute and includes courses and electives to develop your future career as a business professional.

The program has also earned the University-Earned Credit (UEC) program status for Financial Mathematics (FM) exam and Statistics for Risk Modelling (SRM) exam. This UEC program facilitates the pathway for students who pursue the Society of Actuaries (SOA) profession by providing opportunities to earn credit for SOA exams.

If you have already completed an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Studies, the Master of Actuarial Studies will allow you to complete courses equivalent to the Foundation Program of the Actuaries Institute. You'll have the chance to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, and engineering and technical management, as well as conduct research towards your thesis project.

The Bachelor of Science degree allows you to study a wide range of science subjects. You are encouraged to choose a variety of courses in your first year, and later to choose from a broad selection of major options. This gives you time to become more familiar with the different areas of science and to explore possible majors.
