What you Learn

In your first year you will develop a strong, general foundation in engineering including computer programming, applied mathematics and physics. At least half of the honours year will involve a major project. You will take the lead as an engineer in a project environment, working with industry, a government organisation, or an academic research area. There is also the option to do a full-semester internship.

In this master degree, you will study advanced topics in electrical power systems, such as the operation and control of modern power systems, renewable and distributed energy generation, and advanced modelling of electrical machines.

What you'll Learn

In your first year of study you will study the current scenario of electrical power engineering through the operation and control of modern power systems and power generation from renewable energy sources.

In the second year you will take further specialist courses such as renewable and distributed power generation, advanced modelling of electrical machines, and modelling and analysis of power systems.

Combine engineering skills and knowledge with broad-based business education in this double degree. Alongside your studies in civil engineering, develop an understanding of core business concepts such as marketing, management, international business and entrepreneurship.

In this degree you’ll develop sophisticated skills in engineering research methods and project management which you will use on a major civil engineering design project, with industry representatives as your clients. You will also complete a master thesis.

You will learn advanced structural and geotechnical civil engineering, developing the skills to:
