The Diploma in Arts & Science provided by Camosun College gives students an opportunity to study multiple courses in a single diploma or focus on a single subject that the student wants to take up as a career or as an academic focal point. Students can design or schedule the course of their diploma and also study part time or full time as per their discretion. It is a 24 month program that focuses solely on educating people under the canopy of arts and science.

This diploma can also facilitate a transfer to Royal Roads University's Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program. Under the umbrella term of science studies and arts, Camosun College successfully imparts knowledge to its students in multiple fields and hence helps them to make a career choice pertaining to their interests. 
This diploma also gives students the option of a co-operative education program as well as an internship to solidify their resume. The students can make a choice between an internship and a work study program and anything they choose will work in their favor academically as well as professionally.

Biology is one of the most important aspects of science. It has explained and helps gain knowledge about a number of things such as evolution, flora and fauna, environment and ecosystems, human body and its functioning. The Associate of Science degree in Biology prepares a student for university education and helps them gain knowledge about the field.

The Associate of Science degree helps to prepare students for the provincial Associate Degree. The above mentioned degree helps students gain access to a package of well rounded; academically sound courses and also a university transfer to great BC Universities. The two year course includes a number of subjects and disciplines a student has to study. The first year involves a more general set of courses in subjects such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, English so on and so forth. The second year involves a number of more specific studies such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, ecology, cell biology and many such subjects pertaining to biology.

Students have the choice of scheduling their courses and curating their own timetable. Students can study full time or part time as per their own discretion. This ability of scheduling one’s own time table helps students go for other activities and manage their academic s at the same time.

What You’ll Learn
You’ll acquire a wide variety of skills and abilities relating to patient oriented care, health promotion, prevention and community advocacy. Following a foundational year of university transfer courses, you’ll enter Year 2 of the Dental Hygiene program. A diploma is awarded after successful completion of Year 3.

Develop critical skills in public administration and governance including building relationships with diverse stakeholders and community groups. Through applied learning, you will experience different perspectives and objectives to consider issues in new and creative ways.

As a graduate, you are prepared to be employed in a variety of public administration settings. You can also choose to continue your education at Camosun with the Diploma in Public Administration or enrol in one of the School of Business diplomas or Bachelor of Business Administration programs.

The study of literature opens the door to a world of creative inquiry. Literature helps us to understand who we are, where we came from, and where we're going. Through the richness of literature, we learn to see the world through culturally diverse points of view and explore social, political and historical contexts. Studying the discipline of English will give you excellent skills in reading, analysis, critical thinking and clearly organized writing — talents that will lead to success in any academic or career path.

As an Associate Degree student, you'll explore great literature from some of the earliest writings to modern-day classics. Travelling across genres, periods, and diverse cultural perspectives, English students learn to see the world from different viewpoints.

You will become adept at analyzing information, constructing a solid argument, and writing thoughtfully-constructed academic essays. We offer courses in classic English literature, as well as those that focus on Canadian, American, Indigenous, and Women's literature. You may study novels, plays, poetry, short stories, films and visual texts, as well as non-literary texts. Come read the world with us!

Choose from transfer courses in more than 30 different subject areas. These courses will transfer to at least one BC post-secondary institution.

Whether you want to take one or two courses at a time, or register for full-time studies with four or five courses each semester, the University Transfer program gives you the freedom to design your own timetable. Generally speaking, you'll probably start by taking 100-level courses (first-year) and follow up with corresponding 200-level (second-year) courses.

Camosun College offers a two year Associate of Science degree in Psychology that has a total of 20 course program where a student studies multiple subjects such as English, Sociology, Psychology and a multiple other subjects pertaining to general knowledge and education. The aforementioned course offers training in the field of academic and applied psychology as well as a number of other counseling courses. 

The Associate of Science in Psychology also gives the student an opportunity to take psychology courses as elective subjects which helps them go to universities by means of transfer programs. The faculty at Camosun is focused on teaching the students the practical skills and knowledge required in the field of psychology and also helps them to be successful while taking up a post-secondary education. 

During the Associate Degree students have the option of gaining practical experience and therefore are well prepared for the working environment. The students can choose between a co-operative education program for over two terms and an internship for over four months.

The program consists of five 14-week semesters and two eight-week terms, plus two four-month work experiences for Co-op students and is about 3 years long. As a multi-disciplinary program, Environmental Technology has access to the wide-ranging capital resources of its constituent departments. This includes modern biology and chemistry lab facilities, computer labs, surveying equipment, map and air photo collections, greenhouse facilities, meteorological instruments and rock and mineral collections.

The program hub is located in the Fisher building at Lansdowne campus. It is a place to meet and to mentor, to find out what is going on, to collaborate on assignments, to use its resources, to socialize and to recharge. It is open from 8:30 a.m. until late evening, as well as weekends through arrangement with the Instructional Assistant.

After completing year 2 of your Environmental Technology program, you qualify for the additional credential of an Associate of Science Degree in General Science.

Camosun offers courses in basic English language skills to get you started. More advanced courses prepare you for further studies at college or university, career programs and professional communication in the Canadian workplace. You can progress rapidly by taking ELD-Level 2 courses at the same time as other college courses. Graduates credit their studies at Camosun for academic success in later college and university programs.

Level 1: ELD level 1 courses are for beginning and pre-intermediate students who have a fundamental and developing knowledge of English.  Emphasis is on development of speaking and listening skills with an introduction to reading comprehension and written composition.
Level 2: ELD level 2 courses focus on the development of advanced academic English language skills needed to gain entry into college-level programs or technical and professional English language skills needed in the Canadian workplace.
