The final semester in the second year includes trailer service; repair and diagnosing of all trailers and related components; powertrains, which speaks to clutches, manual transmission, torque converter, drivelines and automatic transmissions; and final drives and drivelines. This diploma provides the students with the knowledge needed to challenge the HDM Standard Level Exam (SLE-1). The overall material covered is broader than the foundational level program and enables students the breadth of knowledge in a 2-year credential. This scope serves to enhance an apprenticeship pathway exceeding industry demand. Industry apprenticeship hours and challenge exam are not part of this diploma program.
