Concordia University of Edmonton offers a number of unique, one of a kind programs and one such program is the Bachelor of Management - Conflict Management Emphasis. This is a four year long undergraduate program where students learn to deal with professional level conflicts and other people issues in a corporate environment. The Bachelor of Management - Conflict Management Emphasis program is held in conjunction with the ADR Institute of Alberta (Appropriate Dispute Resolution). 

A number of surveys that were conducted show that, industry leaders, HR and other professionals go through some or the other level of conflict in their daily work lives. Conflict Managers come in handy during such situations and have the skills to deal with a vast array of corporate issues. A number of topics and subjects are chosen which the students study such as Supervision and Conflict Management, and Negotiation and Mediation. Mathematics has shaped our view of the world, used by physicists, engineers, statisticians, analysts and economists as a tool to model real world situations to find new and novel solutions to problems. Accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), this course meets the educational requirements towards gaining Chartered Mathematician status, the first of two stages to do so.

Concordia University of Edmonton’s Bachelor of Environmental Health (After Degree) is a fifteen-month program that provides a sound theoretical base and skills necessary to enable graduate professionals to manage current and emerging environmental and public health issues effectively. Students gain experience of examining issues such as food and drinking water safety, waste management, environmental pollution, communicable disease control, occupational safety and health risk and emergency response management, through lectures, laboratories and field visits.

The program also prepares students to challenge the certification examinations of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors. Applications are encouraged from those individuals who possess an undergraduate baccalaureate degree in a science discipline. Normally a four-year degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science or health sciences is preferred.

The Bachelor of Arts in Drama is a program that deals with the genre of drama and its influence on literature. This course deals with theatrical productions of classic plays as well as modern plays and educating students about the various aspects of dramatic literature. Students are introduces to multiple practical, ancient as well as contemporary aspects of drama. Students are informed about the literary as well as technical facets of dramatic literature.
 
Technicalities such as stage management, behind the lens activities as well as the intricate details of playwriting are shared with the students. Students also have the option of participating in workshops and One-Act Play Festival held in the fall and winter semesters. Concordia University has an extraordinary Bachelor’s program in English that helps students learn about literature as well as language and sharpen their skills pertaining to the language. Under this course students study literature and through the affluence of English literature we can have a better worldview. BA in English integrates a comprehensive historical approach to literature with an emphasis on literary theory and recent approach and Concordia also offers courses in creative and technical writing.

Literature offers us a culturally diverse perspective of the world and offer us a more historical, political and social context of events. Studying literature helps an individual develop and hone their preexisting skills such as reading, writing, critical thinking and higher level of understanding. From classic literature to contemporary literature, from poetry to prose and from fiction to nonfiction, this course covers all genres and type of literature as well as all the aspects of learning language as well. This is a four year long Bachelor’s degree in which students can also choose to undertake courses according to their choice. Students can also join interesting activity clubs such as drama, theatre etc. Students are also eligible to work for a certificate in Theatre Arts.

This post-BA program has been designed to meet the needs of students and practicing psychologists to enhance their knowledge and skills in assessment.For post-BA students, the program is intended to offer professional preparation to provide skilled assessment services under the supervision of a registered psychologist (e.g., as a psychological assistant). For registered psychologists, the courses are intended to allow students to incorporate specific domains of psychological knowledge and assessment skills into their professional practice.

Key areas of emphasis include intellectual, personality, forensic, and neuropsychological assessment, in addition to the diagnosis of child, adolescent, and adult psychopathology. Our graduate diploma requires 18 credits or 6 courses worth 3 credits each. Courses are focused on developing students’ theory and knowledge integrated with hands-on practical skills. Our diploma program is set up to provide students with the instruction and practical opportunities to acquire the abilities needed to complete psychological assessments, write reports, and make helpful, reliable, and valid suggestions for the individuals or third parties seeking the assessments.

Bachelor of Management - Data Management is a comprehensive four yearlong undergraduate program wherein management students are educated about the development and execution of the entire process of managing information. Concordia University is the only education institution in Alberta that offers this program. The bachelor's degree curriculum primarily covers advanced study of business, accounting, information technology, math and systems design for data management. Various other subjects include Statistics, Global technology, Business law, Marketing research and systems as well as Management principles.
