Students are introduced to skills and knowledge needed to succeed in recreation and leisure services. The curriculum includes: community recreation, outdoor adventure, arts, culture, heritage, leisure, fitness, retirement activities, life enrichment in long term care, adaptive-therapeutic recreation, facility operations, programming and event planning. Business administration fundamentals are incorporated with courses in marketing, accounting, technology, human resources, entrepreneurship and research. Experiential learning opportunities include a paid co-operative work semester, field trips, and participating in a number of events or programs working with children to seniors. Students gain proficiencies in leadership and group facilitation by designing, delivering and evaluating diverse, inclusive, relevant, environmentally sustainable recreation leisure and wellness initiatives.

This program provides graduates with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to function competently in the role of an Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA and PTA) in a complex health care environment. OTAs and PTAs work under the supervision of and in collaboration with occupational therapists and physiotherapists, respectively and assist these therapists to teach and enable clients to effectively cope with their limitations in movement, daily functioning, and activities whether temporary or permanent, during and following recovery. This program is a combination of practical and theoretical learning achieved through classroom, laboratory and field placements. To meet the needs of clients in agency and community settings, learning will take place with an inter-professional approach.

Students gain occupational skills for employment in the construction and renovation industry. Students practice lot layout, concrete formwork, framing, demolition, renovations, interior and exterior finish and sustainable construction techniques. Theory and applications of safety standards, building codes, blueprint reading, energy efficiency, and environmental practices are studied. Students learn to interpret the Ontario Building Code as it applies to renovations and new construction. Focus is on the residential sector. Basics of entrepreneurship are presented.

Big Data allows users to visualize past, present, and future patterns by linking and presenting information in meaningful ways. Data Analytics offers deeper insight into the meaning of data sets by telling the story behind the information. This enables stakeholders to make more informed decisions, predict trends and better understand the needs and sentiments of customers. This program provides students with a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and applied skills. Students learn how to collect, curate, manipulate, encode, and store data sets so they can be analyzed and mined in such a way that they can be reused and repurposed to solve challenges that don't yet exist.

This program is intended for students who wish to develop a strong educational and experiential base in business. Students acquire skills in acquisitions analysis, market research, selling, networking, financial analysis and planning, various computer applications and systems, social entrepreneurship development, human resource planning and management. Students also develop skills to integrate the whole area of business principles and practices in order to successfully operate and manage a business.

This program is particularly appropriate for students whose goal is to enter a family business, start their own business, or enter employment in a small business. One of the key experiential outcomes is the research, development and presentation of a complete business plan for a new enterprise.

Students are prepared with the knowledge and skills to practice emergency out-of-hospital medical/trauma care and to function as an integral member of the health care team in assisting victims of injury or illness. Graduates of the program will have demonstrated the ability to safely and competently care for a diverse population in emergency and non-emergency situations. They will also be expected to administer medical interventions, including controlled medical acts, and provide compassionate care. The program is comprised of classroom, laboratory, hospital clinical and field placement experience.

In this program, students are introduced to the various functional aspects of business in general, and accounting in particular. Graduates are proficient in computer, communication, and mathematical skills and employ advanced management and financial management techniques to support accounting activities, including the maintenance of accounting records and the preparation and presentation of financial statements. In addition to the skills acquired in the two-year program, graduates are able to perform a number of more complex functions using analytical and evaluation skills to support management decision-making and collaborating in the design of an organization''s internal control system.

The complexity of industry's labour and entrepreneurial needs requires managers who can work with in a variety of settings and in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams. This program fills that need by providing project management training to candidates who require project management skills to ensure new ventures have potential for successful delivery. The program covers technical, leadership, business, and strategic management subjects with an emphasis on understanding and managing change as applied to project management.

In this program, students are prepared with the knowledge, skills and professional competencies required for the Esthetics Industry. Students in this program are able to provide spa modalities, such as make up and specialized skin, body and hand/foot treatments. In addition, business applications required to run a small business are emphasized. This program has been designed with the intent to academically prepare students for international testing and to inspire a passion for the health and wellness industry.

Students acquire the knowledge and skills required to perform in the administrative health field. Students learn document production, medical terminology, transcription, electronic health records, human anatomy, as well as courses in communication and social sciences. Students have the opportunity for hands-on learning.

Initially, students in all Office Administration streams enroll in a common first semester. Eligible students in this program are offered the opportunity for office experience within the health services community.
