Objective

Rachana sharir is a basic subject of medical science which is Known as anatomy in modern medicine . Its study comprises of structural, functional and metaphysical aspects of the human body . To deal with this subject a whole body dissection is performed on the cadaver . Cadaver/dead body preservation technique is taught to the students. Radiological study of the whole body is explained to them. Besides normal anatomy subject deals with congenital anomalies, pathological anatomy and normal and abnormal functioning of each and every body part .

All this knowledge is correlated and it is comprised in clinical anatomy. The vital points of body are studied under head of Marma Sharir.

This is a postgraduate program of 3 years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program includes rotational postings in the departments of Orthopaedics, Radiology, General Surgery and Anatomy.

Industrial microbiology is a branch of biotechnology that applies microbial sciences to create high value industrial products in mass quantities. For eg vaccines, drugs, fuel etc.

Objectives :

• To provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the tools in microbiology required to meet the increasing challenges / demands of the food, pharma and healthcare industries
• To train students for critical analysis and problem solving of societal issues with the help of microbiology.
•  To enable students to make oral presentations and publish research papers.
• To facilitate survey of published literature, define an original problem for inquiry, design and execute experiments to test this problem, analyze the data, and present the research in writing or orally
• To help students attain technical proficiency and communication skills for graduate/professional advanced education. 

Master of Business Administration or MBA in Human Resource Management is a 2-year post graduate program and is open to individuals with a Bachelor’s degree in any stream. MBA in HR is perfect for individuals with good communication skills and an ability to envision a larger picture for an organization. At present, skilled HR Professionals are required in all public and private sector organizations.

This is a postgraduate program of three years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. It involves rotational postings in the Departments of Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Dentistry, Anatomy, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and General Medicine.

Food is one of the basic necessities for survival. Providing food security to the teeming millions is a day–to–day challenge that developing countries are facing today. The study and application of food science and technology principles would enable us to combat such difficult situations. In an era of increasing population, decreasing energy sources and increasing poverty, it is but imperative that appropriate technology, with an aim towards providing food security be developed. Applications in the realm of food production, processing and preservation could help transform the economic and cultural structure of developing nations across the globe.

Objective

• Acquaint the student with the basic scientific understanding of foods and food processing as determined through biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, physics, and other sciences.
• Provide an insight into the process of translating scientific discovery into innovative food processing technologies.
• Food Science and Technology is the key to the conversion of raw agricultural materials into a wide variety of properly processed and preserved foods, thus contributing to the well-being, economy, standard of living, and progress of humanity.
• Demonstrate process, equipment and packages for food industry.
• Train manpower in Food Science, Food technology, Nutrition, Engineering, Marketing, Business Management and Product Development to meet demand of rapidly increasing food based industries. 

This program is a four-year program approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. It leads to a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It follows a semester pattern. This program uniquely offers an interdisciplinary field of study which seeks to achieve a better understanding and control of the factors influencing drug development, drug discovery, regulatory compliances, and drug pharmacology. The Ayurveda Department at DY Patil University is unique because we focus on inter and intradepartmental association so that we can create and facilitate the best treatment for a number of diseases based on an amalgamation of topics in healthcare. Ayurveda is known to get rid of chronic diseases and thus our institute is very research intensive, constantly striving for innovation in treatment practices.

As a part of the coursework, awareness programs are arranged regularly with the help of PG students, to spread awareness about lifestyle disorders arising due to excessive use of electronic gadgets, like computer vision syndrome, amblyopia, refractive error in early age, squint, allergic disorders etc. We assist in the implementation of the national program for the Prevention of Blindness & Rehabilitation of the visually impaired.
