Food is one of the basic necessities for survival. Providing food security to the teeming millions is a day–to–day challenge that developing countries are facing today. The study and application of food science and technology principles would enable us to combat such difficult situations. In an era of increasing population, decreasing energy sources and increasing poverty, it is but imperative that appropriate technology, with an aim towards providing food security be developed. Applications in the realm of food production, processing and preservation could help transform the economic and cultural structure of developing nations across the globe.

Objective

• Acquaint the student with the basic scientific understanding of foods and food processing as determined through biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, physics, and other sciences.
• Provide an insight into the process of translating scientific discovery into innovative food processing technologies.
• Food Science and Technology is the key to the conversion of raw agricultural materials into a wide variety of properly processed and preserved foods, thus contributing to the well-being, economy, standard of living, and progress of humanity.
• Demonstrate process, equipment and packages for food industry.
• Train manpower in Food Science, Food technology, Nutrition, Engineering, Marketing, Business Management and Product Development to meet demand of rapidly increasing food based industries. 

MBA Sports Management is a 2 year full-time postgraduate program in Sports. 

This course is common to all the students. This course includes an update of the Basic Sciences such as Biomechanics & Applied Physiotherapy, Biophysics, etc for improving abilities in functional diagnosis and clinical reasoning. This course also includes Allied Subjects such as Management, Ethics & Teaching Technology. The candidate has to study 5 Cases for presentation at the time of practical examination.

This course includes the study of any one Specialty selected from above & an independent research project/ dissertation, preferably based on the Specialty.    

This is a postgraduate program of 3 years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program includes rotational postings in the departments of Orthopaedics, Radiology, General Surgery and Anatomy.

The student is also posted in the Super speciality Departments of Paediatric Surgery, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and Paediatric Surgery. The student is also trained to administer Palliative Care.

The BSc in Culinary Studies is a 3-year program that encompasses 2 years of classroom studies and practicals and 1 year of paid internship in leading 5-star hotels across India. School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies has a tie-up with University College of Birmingham UK, which will enable students to do their internships in the UK. We are focused on ensuring our graduates leave us with a complete range of culinary skills which will enable them to adapt to any environment where food really matters, and to present themselves as highly skilled and inspirational chefs, with exciting career prospects ahead of them.

MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology is a postgraduate program of 3 years that can be pursued after completion of BDS. It is a dental specialization that deals with the diagnosis of oral diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, and dental treatments of medically compromised patients.

MBA Biotechnology is a 2-year post-graduation course in Biotechnology which teaches the fundamentals of both business and biotechnology. The syllabus is designed to provide an understanding of the economics driving this emerging technology.
