M.Sc. Microbiology is a two-year degree program wherein students are taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, coursework and projects about the components and composition of microscopic living organisms and their assembly and interactions important in sustaining life. By using theoretical knowledge and techniques, students attempt to investigate and solve biological problems pertaining to the understanding of physiological processes of the microbes, their interaction with hosts leading to diseases and subsequent disease diagnostics, prevention, therapy and prognostics.

Masters of Arts in Psychology is an advanced and specialized programme aimed at instilling knowledge and apprising the learners of practical applicability of the subject so that they can apply the same in diverse fields, exhibiting exceptional skills in the field of Health Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Developmental Psychology and Counselling Psychology. The BA (H) Liberal Arts programme is designed to provide students with a foundation in the subjects that make up liberal arts. The Animation and Motion Graphics Department at UID aims at providing top notch Industry standard training in the various facets of animation. Starting from traditional 2D classical animation to the new-age VR animation, every aspect of the subject is covered. The course prepares the student to master one’s skills and understanding so that they can choose any career in the production pipeline, be it in the pre-production, production or post-production level. Independent film-making and commercial film-making both are an integral part of the training.

Masters of Optometry is a postgraduate programme designed to impart advanced knowledge and speciality skills to optometry graduates to offer expert advice for timely diagnostic intervention. The curriculum of this program ensures in upgrading the academic hallmark of graduates to specialise in the fields of low vision, advanced contact lenses, binocular vision, vision therapy, rehabilitation, neuro optometric rehabilitation and behavioural optometry etc. This programme is well suited to Graduates aspiring for guided research to widen the scope of clinical practice with using latest eye equipment (including lenses and spectacles) which is imbued with the idea of improving the vision of the human eye and removing all kinds of obstacles of sight which an individual may experience.

M.Sc. (Agri.) Entomology is a two year post graduate programme designed to provide knowledge and skill of plant protection principles and procedures to the students. The program offers an excellent blend of theory and research that align with the curricula of leading agricultural universities and ICAR guidelines. The course structure imparts the students with through understanding of the breadth of Agricultural Entomology by providing comprehensive knowledge on basic concepts and current developments in Insect Biosystematics; Insect Physiology; Insect-Pest Management, Host Plant resistance and Insect Toxicology along with minor courses of resistance breeding and plant diseases. The focus of the programme is not only insect pests but also the beneficial arthropods found in the agro-ecosystem that contribute to ecosystem services such as biological control and pollination. The programme aims to prepare the students to address the pest management challenges with sustainable, profitable eco -friendly crop protection measures

B. Sc. Forensic Science program aims to develop the skills necessary to take part in a forensic investigation by providing the experience in examining forensic evidence and case studies. It provides students with detailed contextual knowledge of courses related to forensic science in the broad areas of biology, chemistry, law, and methods of forensic investigation so that they can acquire skills necessary to carry out independent projects

M. Tech. Communication Engineering. The course has been designed to train eligible candidates to efficiently design and supervise communication systems, ranging from simple point-to-point communication links to more complex heterogeneous networks. The objective of the program is to prepare professionals working in the areas of telecom/software for the dynamic and continuous changes of the digital/analogue world, and successfully participate towards its future development and research. M. Tech. Communication Engineering programme aims at equipping the students with a knowledge of computer systems and communication engineering. The technical skills and ability to pursue high end research in the field of communication engineering are also provided

Master of Pharmacy (Phrmacology) is a two-year interdisciplinary postgraduate program (PG) aimed to develop pharmacy professionals with an advanced knowledge of in-vivo/in-vitro and toxicological evaluation of new chemical entities and dosage forms to cater the demand of the healthcare sector. This program enables students to carry out independent research on experimental animals, pharmacological and clinical investigations, biostatistics etc. in consultation with industry collaborators and academic experts to build a career path for the corporate and education sector respectively.

B.Design (Hons.) programme of Industrial design focuses on designing products, systems and services that make life easier by developing creative thinking ability. It’s a balance of creativity, technology, cultural concerns, environmental needs, exploring materials, production techniques, aesthetics, the emerging fields of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial Intelligence, and social issues in both local and global contexts. Students learn and apply user centric insights by becoming more empathetic.
