B. Sc. Microbiology is a broad discipline of biology dealing with the function, structure, uses, and existence of the microscopic organism. Microbiology overlaps the various other degree areas of biology like molecular biology, genetics & immunology. The scope of Microbiology is huge because of the involvement of microbiology in various fields such as pharmacy, medicine, clinical research, agriculture, dairy industry, water industry, nanotechnology & chemical technology.

Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Sciences is an undergraduate 4 years academic program, with 3.5 years of Didactic learning and 6 months of mandatory Internship.The course aims to provide proficient and balanced training in laboratory medicine and diagnosis. It involves the application of different technologies to diagnose and cure diseases. The students become specialized at analysis of body matter such as fluid, tissue and blood, micro-organism screening, chemical analyses, and cell count. Students also learn to handle advanced lab equipment and perform accurate laboratory tests, with great emphasis on Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Students are trained for careers in diagnostics, academics, laboratory medicine, R & D sectors, quality control and quality assurance and for being entrepreneurs, by setting up their own laboratory.

M.Sc. Nutrition & Health has been offered to impart to eligible candidates advanced skills in Clinical and Therapeutic Nutrition, Community Nutrition and Critical evaluation through integration of nutrition, dietetics, and research through hands-on training in multispecialty hospitals under the supervision of expert dietitian and nutritionist. The advanced study through this course will forge a connection between medicine, chemistry, and food, focusing on the good and bad effects of alimentation on the human body.

B,Optometry is an undergraduate 4 year program designed to impart knowledge and skills needed to become a qualified optometrist. In this vision care science program students are trained on various eye equipment (including lenses and spectacles) which is imbued with the idea of improving the vision of the human eye and remove all kinds of obstacles of sight which an individual may experience. The demand of optometrists in India and abroad is continuously increasing. They make a health assessment, offer clinical advice, prescribe spectacles or contact lenses and refer patients for further treatment, when necessary.Offering primary eye care, optometry is a challenging, stimulating and exceptionally rewarding profession that offers excellent opportunities for work in India and abroad.Department of optometry has collaboration with Dayal Optical, Manthan Eye Institute, Arunodya Desert Eye Hospital Himalaya Optical and Indira Gandhi Eye Hospitals for clinical and research engagements.

M.Sc. (Agri.) Entomology is a two year post graduate programme designed to provide knowledge and skill of plant protection principles and procedures to the students. The program offers an excellent blend of theory and research that align with the curricula of leading agricultural universities and ICAR guidelines. The course structure imparts the students with through understanding of the breadth of Agricultural Entomology by providing comprehensive knowledge on basic concepts and current developments in Insect Biosystematics; Insect Physiology; Insect-Pest Management, Host Plant resistance and Insect Toxicology along with minor courses of resistance breeding and plant diseases. The focus of the programme is not only insect pests but also the beneficial arthropods found in the agro-ecosystem that contribute to ecosystem services such as biological control and pollination. The programme aims to prepare the students to address the pest management challenges with sustainable, profitable eco -friendly crop protection measures

BA (Hons.) Sociology is a 3-year under graduate program in Sociology with emphasis on a broad study of society and its mechanism.
