The B.Des. Programme begins with the common foundation programme for all disciplines.

The first year is a Common Foundation across different streams of design that enables you to acquire the requisite basics before embarking on three years of more specialised design education programme. Hands-on skill courses like Design drawing and Workshop skills like material manipulations, including working on a variety of materials like Wood, Bamboo, Sheet metal, Aluminium, and others form an integral part of the course curriculum.

Learn basic design theory, thorough grounding in elements of form, colour, and aesthetics besides the important sensitisation courses like Environmental Perception and History of Design that aim to give you a complete understanding and perspective of Design as a whole.
Apart from these regular inputs, you also get to learn basic computer skills, photography, printing basics, and presentations. Get introduced to critical thinking, culture studies, and communication that give you an edge in your chosen profession. Basics on Leadership courses along with inputs on Entrepreneurship prepare you for a fulfilling career ahead. We encourage you to write blogs, keep a journal, maintain a sketch book to develop deeper interest and insight in the subject.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering at JKLU aims to create the next generation of computer engineers who will work to address the issues and challenges of the present time through knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Recently, the IT Industry has shifted towards business process automation. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is one of the widely adopted techniques not only in the IT industries but also in the non-IT industries to automate their monotonous and laborious tasks to gain efficiency, accuracy, and cost management. RPA can be implemented with the help of various RPA tools such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, HelpsSystems, and Pega Robotics.

B.Des. in Interdisciplinary Design has a flexible curriculum that combines courses from the various domains and disciplines of Design with courses from other institutes of the university. This allows you to leverage new age technology, hone an entrepreneurial mindset and become adept at understanding form and aesthetics, visual language and user-centric approach to develop products and systems in any discipline.
Graduates of Interdisciplinary Design develop a curious mindset and can work in unfamiliar environments as they are trained to deal with ambiguity. They find opportunities in big organisations that wish to leverage design in their business as well as those startups where design plays an important role. With inputs in engineering and entrepreneurship, the Interdisciplinary Design student has a distinct advantage to act as a bridge between different functions in any environment or specialise later in a chosen field.

Interdisciplinary Design graduates find work in design firms that do cross disciplinary work, creative agencies, and startups that need design inputs. They are also singularly eligible to start their own agency. Many go further into a specialisation that they enjoyed in their undergraduate programme. BCA at JKLU is designed to offer application based learning in computer application through a cross-disciplinary and multi-perspective curriculum that focusses on building skills and a knowledge base for computer application development and IT administration. Designers are tasked with the challenge of examining and reimagining a huge range of physical objects which we use in all aspects of our daily lives.

Conceptualised and created by eminent scholars and industry stalwarts, this interdisciplinary diploma is a unique blend of courses in mathematics, programming, economics, political science, academic writing, and critical thinking. Offered under the aegis of Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation, the programme helps students to develop core skills for careers in emerging fields of data, policy, economics, and much more.

Automobile Design and Engineering is a course offered in combination with electrical, electronics, safety, and software engineering. It is highly productive for those who want to work in automotive development and manufacturing companies. Skills required include an artistic bent of mind along with knowledge of interiors and colour designing. An aspirant should also have technical expertise in ergonomics, vehicle body part design, and design software.
