A discipline that applies the principles of Engineering, Physics & Materials Science for design, analysis, manufacturing & maintenance of mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines, hence, known as "Mother" discipline. The scope of the Mechanical Engineering is continuously expanding beyond traditional boundaries and therefore, it enjoys the status of an evergreen discipline. Mechanical Engineers focus their attention towards new areas of research such as Nano Technology, development of Composite Materials, Bio-Medical applications, Environmental conservations etc.

Mechanical Engineering aims at producing graduates ready to work in diverse multidisciplinary areas that are developing. The department provides excellent education in the application of the traditional blend of core areas of dynamics, vibrations, structural analysis, materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer and control theory for the analysis, design and manufacturing of a wide variety of mechanical systems. The discipline also provides strong training in modern developments in product design, mechatronics, nano-mechanics, advanced materials, robotics, CAD/CAM, modern manufacturing systems, and computational analysis. Specializations in Automobile, Aerospace, Renewable Energy Systems, Bio-medical Devices, Computational Engineering, and Systems Engineering are being introduced in the undergraduate curriculum. The students undergo extensive course work, project work, and laboratory experience during their studies.

Product design is a combination of art and engineering; drawing skills, creativity and technical knowledge are critical. Industrial Product designers are responsible for the look of many of the products bought, used and consumed every day - from cars, phones, lighting and furniture, to essential medical equipment. A Product designer considers the usability, Ergonomics and aesthetics of common mass-produced items and works to improve the design, function, engineering and marketing of these Items. Design students focus on understanding human behaviour to develop products of optimal style and function.

The study of microbes has been critical in our current understanding of basic biological processes, evolution, and the functions of the biosphere and has contributed to numerous fields of engineering. Microbes have the amazing ability to grow in extreme conditions, to grow slowly or rapidly, and to readily exchange DNA. They are essential for life as we know it, but can also be agents of disease. They are instrumental in shaping the environment, in evolution, and in modern biotechnology. They are amenable to virtually all modern approaches in science and engineering. Microbes provide natural engineering laboratories for creating new capabilities for industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, chemicals, energy), and are the foundation of pioneering efforts in synthetic biology - i.e. building life from its component parts.

Social Responsibility: This program is designed to widen the student’s perspective towards the natural environment and they learn to cater spatial needs and aspirations of individuals & the society. In this they learn about the analytical approach towards the human behaviour of the user while adapting the designed spaces.

Multidisciplinary Course: Our program covers vast array of projects which includes Residential, Commercial, Restoration, Retail, Corporate, Theatre & Adaptive-Reuse Projects. We also focus on preparing students for multidisciplinary self-efficient designers with skills & knowledge to design Furniture & Products with technical & functional learning.

Experiential Learning: We organize related study programme every year for the experiential learning in students to acquire the skills like documentation, planning, sketching, compositions, photography and joineries. Also, we have workshops & industry visits to make sure that students are aware about the current design trends.

Diploma in Chemical Engineering is a three-year long programme. This course teaches the students about chemicals and raw materials and ways of creating new materials out of existing chemicals.

B Arch Full Form is Bachelor of Architecture. Bachelor of Architecture is a five-year undergraduate program which has a blend of both theoretical and practical knowledge. The course teaches students the art of planning, designing and constructing using appropriate techniques and principles.
