B.Sc. Optometry is an Undergraduate Program. Optometry is a health care profession which deals with the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system. It is a vision care science. One can also define it as the science of eye equipment (including lenses and spectacles) which is imbued with the idea of improving the vision of the human eye and remove all kinds of obstacles of sight which an individual may experience. This is a dynamic and challenging career, which allows one to help people, achieve personal growth, community respect, job flexibility and financial success and offers virtually unlimited opportunities. The program is envisaged to develop a multipurpose ophthalmic manpower at paramedical level. The training enables a student to become a competent person in providing service as an Optician, Optometrist, Refractionist and Ophthalmic Assistant to the community in urban, semi-urban and rural settings in private, semi-Governmental and Governmental sectors.

The program has been designed in way to develop graduates with key practical skills and interdisciplinary knowledge essential for tomorrow’s leaders. The program also provides necessary skills in written communication, problem-solving, interpersonal understanding and critical thinking.

Physiotherapists are trained professionals working in health care. They are trained to restore mobility, alleviate pain and suffering and work to prevent permanent disability in patients. Mechanisation and sedentary life style is the cause of many health related problems and injuries. People often encounter musculo-skeletal problems including backache, stiff shoulders, osteoarthritis, neck pain, etc. To alleviate pain, physiotherapists play an immense role in rehabilitation and thereby improving patient outcome. Therefore, physiotherapists maximise mobility and advance quality of life thereby adding life to years.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy BPT provides a rich breadth of educational experience along with essentials required for healthcare in the country. The course incorporates problem based approach enabling students in identifying, discussing and analysing the patient case from an individualistic perspective. The learning curve of the course is further enhanced by undergoing a mandatory rotating internship program where students can put in practice what they have learnt from the course on patient under the guidance and supervision of competent teachers. Environmental Science basically deals with the scientific study of environmental system (air, water, soil and land), the inherent or induced changes on organisms and the environmental damages incurred as a result of human interaction with the environment. It also deals with the study of technical processes involved in the protection of environment from the potentially deleterious effects of human activity and improving the environmental quality for the health and well beings of humans (Environmental Engineering). Main objective of Environmental Sciences education is to emphasize the importance of sustainable development i.e., economic development without degrading the environment. Hence, it covers the areas as environment and enterprise objectives, scope, and structure of the environment, interaction of nature, society and the enterprise, environment impact assessment, economics of pollution, prevention, environmental management standards etc.

B.Sc Physics is an undergraduate degree program giving students an opportunity to fortress their skills and apply knowledge by making a valuable contribution to the global challenges facing humanity. The key focus of B.Sc. degree is primarily to understand, reason and improve the world by means of systematic observation, experimentation, modelling and calculation.

B.Sc Medical Lab Technology is of three-year duration and involves clinical rotation in final year of study. Clinical rotation provides valuable experience to students giving hands on learning in each discipline of the laboratory and under close supervision of guided faculty. The course is interdisciplinary and students can opt for subjects from other fields besides traditional subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Cytology and Tissue Culture. B Sc Medical Lab Technology is an undergraduate medical lab technologist course. Medical Lab Technology also called Clinical Laboratory Science. The course teaches students to perform tests that aid in diagnosis and treatment of diseases as well as handling, standardisation, management of advanced lab equipment’s and laboratories.
