The Mechanical Engineering Department of Tula’s Institute is one of the oldest department since its inception in 2006. The department offers Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programs in mechanical engineering. The main goal of the curriculum is to impart quality education to the students to develop technical skills, improve their problem-solving abilities, and encourage them to become a competitive mechanical engineer. The Department offers two specializations in the field of Robotics and Energy Engineering. The increased demand of current industry for efficiencies and safety has led to a greater need for professionals with an added expertise in the field of ‘Robotics & Automation’. Robotics & Automation combines design, construction, operation, and application of robots coupled with computer based control systems, sensory feedback, and information processing. The design of a robotic system puts together principles of electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and computer engineering.

B.Tech with the specialization of Robotics & Automation Engineering will enable students to give out the Industry requirement for implementation of new and smart technologies covering methods of synthesis, analysis & optimization of newer robots and mechanisms. The initial job functions in the field include- Robotics Engineer, Robotics Welding, Mobile Robotics, 3D Robotics, and Robotics Engineer at E-commerce Giants amongst others. Immediate & long term employment opportunities exist in the fields like industrial automation, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, aerospace, healthcare and defense. Also this field finds applications in the regular streams like mechanical systems/design engineering, electronics systems engineering and control systems engineering.

Energy Engineering covers the utilization of different energy systems such as renewable & non renewable and different innovations in energy technologies & their management. Energy engineering is a field which combines different forms of energy like kinetic energy, radiant energy, potential energy, chemical energy, elastic energy & thermal energy to smear modern solutions for the energy generation, consumption and storage. The Department of civil engineering offers specialization in the field of Energy Engineering in UG program. Civil engineers work to sustain the natural environment while creating and maintaining the built environment. Civil engineers are essential to provide the necessities of human beings like water, shelter, infrastructure and energy in more efficient and renewable ways. Department of Civil engineering Offers Diploma in Civil Engineering of a duration of 3 years. With rapidly booming infrastructure developments all around, civil engineers today are in much higher demand than ever before. Civil diploma holders can make building plans, devise solutions for building materials, and work onsite as an assistant to the supervisor and site manager.

The Mechanical Engineering department of Tula’s Institute offers a three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee. This branch applies engineering, physics, and material science concepts for design, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance of mechanical systems. The course consists of 6 semesters.
