PhD in Chemical Engineering is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of Chemical Engineering.

The course is a concoction of the study of commerce and law. By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

The specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering with Specialization In Process Design Engineering is an industry-oriented program training the students in chemical process development and designing. The students as part of the curriculum go for one year of Industrial project where they receive immense industrial experience. We also have a MoU with Grasim Industries - Aditya Birla Ltd., for the M. Tech Industrial project/ internship program.

Along with a specially curated curriculum, UPES also offers certifications such as "EC Council Certified Ethical Hackers" and "IRCA and CQI certified ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditors", to give students an added incentive and help keep up with the competent and lucrative job market.

UPES provides a unique and focused Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc program with specialization in analytical chemistry. The specialization equips students with extensive knowledge allowing them to opt for various careers in academics, industries and research fields. Students who are enrolled in integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. with specialization in Analytical Chemistry program, can enhance their skills related to evaluation, measurement, and interpretation of scientific data. Clinical Research enables health care professionals to develop new therapies and diagnostic procedures and medical devices to ensure better patient care. M.Sc. in Clinical Research is a 2-year postgraduate course aimed at providing experiential learning with comprehensive curriculum.

The Clinical Pharmacokinetics specialization encourages students to explore the key principles of pharmacokinetics (PK) including factors that affect the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and binding of drugs and integrate these principles into the process of monitoring, evaluating and adjusting dosing for patients. It provides students with the ability to interpret drug concentration measurements in the context of the therapeutic window, along with the derivation of dosage adjustments to maintain therapeutic concentrations. Upon completion of the course, the student will contribute at planning, design and analysis of clinical studies from pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PD) perspective. They will apply this information in the clinical drug development process. It will also provide hands on experience with pharmacokinetic data analysis, advanced PK/PD modeling research with emphasis on disease progression modeling and implementation of mechanism-based approaches.

Space Technology deals with the design and analysis of space vehicles, Space flight or space exploration. The curriculum covers areas such as, Space Science & Space Environment, Rocket Propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and Design of Aerospace Vehicles. In the recent year the space industry has undergone significant changes such as reusable launch vehicle and also sees a tremendous amount of increase in commercial opportunities. Managing and processing data is increasingly becoming difficult with the conventional techniques and tools. Big data analytics is a domain that deals with the analysis of huge and heterogeneous data. The course focuses on Big Data analysis, existing frameworks, techniques, and its real-world applications along with the key technologies used in manipulating, storing, and analysing it. ?
