UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Animation and VFX prepares students with a strong grounding in design, video and audio skills, alongside modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, digital cinematography, digital color grading, and 3D digital graphics. The course modules also cover motion graphics and virtual studio skills, alongside compositing, 3D tracking, particles, and dynamics.

Students in this specialisation learn the essential computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases and software engineering and design processes, but also concepts such as Big Data related concepts such as functional programming using python, distributed computing, data ingestion tools, NoSQL database, and other technologies to build big data pipeline.

Automotive design is a distinctive field that encompasses engineering, creativity, business acumen and safety. An automotive designer is not bounded by automobiles only, they can be a designer for any form of wheeled transportation. This course includes a wide assortment of topics on the related aspects of the transportation sector, energy, and environmental concerns, application of fossil and alternative fuels and development of vehicles of the future. Automotive design engineering is a combination of art and science; a strong aesthetic sense is needed, as well as a solid grounding in the engineering and materials involved in building cars and their component parts.  Our program offers something unique wherein, we teach our students to be prepared for their professional career and also be life-long learners. Looking at the worldwide requirement of converting the dependencies of countries economy on sustainable and environment friendly technology M. Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering provides the in-depth knowledge of various domains of Renewable Energy Sources like Solar, Wind, Hydro, Biofuel, Hydrogen etc. This program is equipped with advance tools and lab setup equipped with advance testing kits and provision of engaging the students in real time field visits to perform the feasibility study of various Renewable Energy Systems.

This program offers the blend of placement opportunities in various verticals of Renewable Energy Engineering to work as an Energy Specialist, Energy Consultant, Project Manager, Lead Energy Auditor (ISO-50001 global level), Renewable Energy Products Manager, RE project developer etc.

Learners will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge in Renewable Energy Technology, Solar PV and Solar Thermal Systems, Wind Energy Systems, Biomass Conversion Technology, Green Buildings, Project and Financial Management, Smart Grid etc. Students has the opportunity to work in funded research projects and consultancy projects from Government and other funding agencies with wide opportunity to go for higher studies.

The Smart Grid specialization focuses on efficient use of energy and precise control along with digitalization.

Digital video & audio are growing exponentially in the Indian media sector and there is a huge demand for original content. This requires specialised production skills which are in high demand.  This degree program equips students with sound technical skills to create digital video and audio content. Students are trained on the latest technology tools to produce, distribute and monetise media properties across digital multimedia industries.

Students are trained as digital broadcasting storytellers & producers. They are provided hands-on experience in the fields of Mobile Journalism, Audio/Video Production, Content Creation, Podcasting, Production, Direction and Live Broadcasting. School of Modern Media students at UPES work in one of the most advanced studios in the country where they learn the skills required for digital and mass media broadcasting which are taught by the best professionals in the industry.

The Digital Video Production and Monetisation, specialisation introduces students to MoJo (Mobile Journalism). It is designed to teach you the skills to make impactful video content for  media houses, marketing campaigns and social media channels. Students will learn how to shoot, edit and produce video content with Mobile Phones. They will learn hands - on working on live projects in workshop mode to create digital multimedia content. They will be introduced to the basics of narrative structure and visual language, and a comprehensive overview of video production.They will also be introduced to distribution and monetisation strategies across digital platforms like YouTube, Facebook & Instagram amongst others.

Pure mathematics includes developing the fundamental tools used by mathematicians, such as algebra and calculus, describing multi-dimensional space, or a better understanding of the philosophical meaning of mathematics and numbers themselves. Pure mathematics is the study of the basic concepts and structures that underlie mathematics. Its purpose is to search for a deeper understanding and an expanded knowledge of mathematics itself. 

B.Sc. Clinical Research, a three-year full-time undergraduate program, will help in building up a strong foundation towards various clinical and pre-clinical research aspects. The curriculum will include, Pharmacovigilance, Scientific Writing, SAS, Ethics in Clinical Research, design thinking and application of artificial intelligence in Clinical Research thus imparting skills required in this industry.

UPES provides a unique and focused M.Sc. program with specialization in Organic chemistry. The specialization equips students with extensive knowledge allowing them to opt for various careers in academics, industries and research fields. M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry will help the students to understand the chemical synthesis of various chemicals, products and polymers The plethora of research area among the faculty members provides an understanding of different future oriented aspects of chemistry.  The Laboratory courses are designed to offer comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience on sophisticated techniques. The last semester of the program is dedicated to dissertation work making students aware about the application of concepts on real-life challenges. Students are supervised by experienced and research-oriented faculty members.

Also, computational tools can be used in several areas starting from simulating various systems for the prediction of properties at micro/ macro/ nano level to development of new materials for the betterment of the life of the mankind to drug development etc. Computational techniques like Material Modelling, Drug development, Computational Chemistry are not only very reliable, but they save both money, time of the user. With Science expanding its horizons towards the areas like Machine learning, Data Science, Decision Science etc, the graduate students should be well prepared for utilizing these efficient computational techniques. The course is a concoction of the study of commerce and law. By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

The course trains students to assist clients in setting up and managing their businesses across India. The program is a blend of legal functioning of the corporate entities with compliances required by them. Students will be able to provide end-to-end advisory service regarding the most suitable form of organization, based on the client’s specific needs and objectives. This may include incorporation and setting up of all types of Companies, creating a business setup in India through a branch or liaison office, obtaining statutory approvals and licenses for starting a business from local, municipal, state, and central government authorities.
