Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an interdisciplinary field concerned with the design and synthesis of different types of drug from the biologically active molecules. The field of pharmaceutical chemistry is very dynamic and combines a broad range of scientific disciplines such as drug discovery development and also therapies.  It provides students with a thorough understanding of drug mechanism of action, structure activity relationship (SAR), acid base and physico- chemical properties and absorption, metabolism and toxicity profiles.

M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 2 year, post-graduate degree program involve aspects related to the general chemistry, organic chemistry, synthesis and analysis with different analytical techniques for their characterizations as well as their utilization.

The main objective is to develop skilled pharmaceutical chemists, with a thorough understanding and knowledge of drug and their action and utilize their potential to work efficiently and effectively in an interdisciplinary atmosphere.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics with Research is a 4 year programme which includes research and internship in its course curriculum. It is dedicated for applied research in the field of Physical Sciences and further helps in enhancing research acumen of the scholar along with exposure to internship in related fields. This program has advantage of pursuing higher studies in Universities across the globe after qualifying eligibility criteria fixed by the university. In addition, 4 years B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics with Research program focuses on research and internship.

Bachelor of Pharmacy degree mainly prepares the candidates to work in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory body, clinical research etc. The programme structure of the degree includes practical training in the pharmaceutical industry environment.

M.Pharm. Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an interdisciplinary programme that covers the synthesis, designing, development, and other significant factors of existing and novel drug molecules. Parallelly, it deals with pharmacodynamic as well as pharmacokinetics.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics is a three year Honors Program. The thrust of this Program is to impart extensive knowledge of Physics, both in theoretical and practical spheres. The Programme involves Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Atomic, Nuclear & Particle Physics and Lasers & Instrumentation and Electronics. B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology is an undergraduate three-year degree programmes are designed with the goal of providing expertise to the students in the field of Food Science and Technology. This program will provide students with in-depth knowledge of the Technical, scientific and professional approaches towards the physicochemical, microbiological, engineering and textural aspects of food. The program includes detailed study of subjects such as Advance Food Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Technology of Cereals, Principles of Food quality, Bakery Technology, Technology of Fruits, Vegetables and Plantation Crop, Technology of Milk and Milk Products, Technology of Food Preservation, Food Microbiology and Engineering etc. Courses on English communication, seminar presentation, reasoning skill, personality development targets an overall improvement in the aptitude of student along with enhancement of communication skills.  Industrial visits, participation in seminar/conference, training programmes impart additional technical skills. Dissertation specifically inculcates research aptitude and scientific writing skills.

A person who has completed D.Pharm. can be employed as a registered pharmacist in a community pharmacy (wholesale or retail-medical store/chemists & druggists) or hospital pharmacy. It is the minimum qualification to practice the pharmacy profession, therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription medicines has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only.
